This is what is called "playing both sides of the fence" or "tacking to the middle". He should be quite good at working each side, since he has a lot of experience. However, whether or not he gets away with it, is another thing.

I'll bet he will not tell everyone how he supported one position before he supported the other. wink.gif

Here you theocratic wannabes show your anti-American cards again.

Kerry is a man. He has a religion. He hopes to be president of the USA, a SECULAR, NON RELIGIOUS, STATE.

He holds his religious views privately.
He wants to preside over ALL of America. All of its religions and non-religions. And most of all, he wishes to honor the LAWS of America.

There is no contradiction at all in Kerry's position. In fact, it is a highly desirable position.

Do you really want the laws of America to be dictated by the CHURCH?????

Just which hypothetical church are you referring to Thaiquila? Baptists, Lutherans, Roman Catholics, Anglican Catholics, Unitarians,....................... There are so many that obviously they cannot be working in concert. Or perhaps you will expose us to the latest conspiracy, contact M. Moore, and strike it rich along with his next journalistic exposition? wink.gif

You know perfectly well what I mean.
The choice is BUSH vs KERRY.

Bush wants to decide the abortion issue based on his RELIGION.
Kerry wants to decide the abortion issue based on American laws, respecting that we are a diverse society, and not a religious state.

The choice is clear.

But Thaquila, only you seem to believe that one can have it both ways. Kerry has suddenly told one and all that "so called" life begins at conception. He calls himself a good little, or "tall", Catholic. So this means that the Church has finally gotten to him? Or is he being disingeneous for the hopeful believers? I suspect that you believe the later, right?

But the very fact that he is willing to cozy up to the evil "Church" should give you cause for alarm? Of course we know that he is "wink" "wink" honestly serious here. I must praise you for your astute observation, and unquestionable candor. Now, go forth and convert the masses. The almighty State shall rule supreme, forever more. wink.gif
Thaiquila
You are not paying attention.
Kerry has made it very clear he will not allow his Catholic beliefs to influence the way he governs. There is no ambiguity about that. His private beliefs, nor the private beliefs of Bush, do not bother me at all. The problem is when leaders try to shove their private religious beliefs down the throats of our entire, multicultural, multireligion RULE OF LAWS NOT CHURCH nation.

I am assured that the majority of readers can see that you just tried to dodge the logic of my argument with a personal attack at me. A definite pattern. You pull the wool over so many eyes on this board, but you don't fool me.

Perhaps you should ask others what they think of your "logic"? As for me, I'm out of here. See you later. cool.gif

He has said that he would use a litmus test for any future Supreme Court justice: PROABORTION, yet he NOW personally finds abortion wrong. How can he do both?

You are incorrect.
He recently has said that abortion will NOT be a litmus test for judges under his administration.

Source Associated Press:

Kerry Now Says He Could Appoint Pro-Life Justice To Supreme Court, Citing His Vote For Justice Scalia. "Kerry said he has voted in favor of 'any number of judges who are pro-life or pro-something else that I may not agree with,' some of whom were nominated by Republican presidents. 'But I'm going to make sure we uphold what I believe are Constitutional rights and I'm not going to pick somebody who's going to undermine those rights. Do they have to agree with me on everything? No,' Kerry said. Asked if they must agree with his abortion-rights views, he quickly added, 'I will not appoint somebody with a 5-4 Court who's about to undue Roe v. Wade. I've said that before.' 'But that doesn't mean that if that's not the balance of the court I wouldn't be prepared ultimately to appoint somebody to some court who has a different point of view. I've already voted for people like that. I voted for Judge Scalia.''' (Ron Fournier, "Kerry Open To OK Anti-Abortion Judges," The Associated Press, 5/19/04)

Because JOHN KERRY DOESN'T CARE.

HE DOESN'T CARE THAT HE'S PLAYING WITH LIFE AND DEATH.

THE ONLY THING HE CARES ABOUT IS PLEASING HIS SOCIALIST ANTI-AMERICAN BUDDIES.

Why can't this man choose a position and remain firm?

This kind of pure opurtunism can only serve to hurt our great nation.
