Bush makes a pitch for black votes

DETROIT — President Bush yesterday asked black Americans for their vote in an address to the National Urban League, saying blacks must reconsider their allegiance to the Democratic Party and look at the strides minorities have made under his administration

Did you see the speech on tv?
The reaction was COLD.
As will the reaction be at the polls.
George W. Bush is a one term president and a miserable failure, especially as concerns minority Americans.
Fire the incompetent. Fire Bush.
With a record like his, he would be LONG GONE in a corporate environment.

If you read between the speach's lines it's focus was to make poor blacks into rich blacks, support would be more for republicans then.
But, as we all know not everyone can be rich.

I always thought the blacks have never really been good at the game of politics. If you are a minority block, think of your members as a political party to be aligned with the party who delivers your wish list, but first you have to have a defined wish list. Just as in some countries like Israel which functions with coalitions, the blacks could use their position to obtain concessions from a majority party for delivering the vote. But alas, they always go 90% democrat. This gives the Republicans little enticement to pay no attention to the black voter, even though they have tried.

The white democrats for their part have to consider whether black issues such as affirmative action are really representing his best interest. Affirmative action is like forced school bussing, in that it should and perhaps is driving white and asian voters from the democratic party like forced bussing caused whites to flee the inner cities.

Yes I watched it, and he was recieved warmly and his comments also met warm applause.

It's ok though I forgive you, your Al-Jazeera feed must have drowned Bush out.

"African-Americans are choking on the donkey, but not yet ready to swallow the elephant."

But they will be soon, they are slowly but surely waking up to LIBERAL LIES.
