This is an interesting perspective.
In any case, Kerry wins. Bush loses. You neocon brownshirts start hitting the sauce.

Not a snowball's chance in Hades, buddy! laugh.gif

The Kerry Campaign seems to have figured things out, though -- the Joe Wilson "RestoreHonesty.com" website is gone from the Kerry page. And -- as Nick Queen notes -- searches for Wilson on the Kerry site now turn up nothing.

Wilson's been airbrushed, which seems like an admission that those who have been defending him were wasting their time. (For those interested in history, here's a preserved copy. Reportedly, they've even cleared the Google cache on this one! [LATER: Google cache found here.])

UPDATE: Rand Simberg observes: "Somehow, I suspect that, even after getting rid of Berger and Wilson, he's still got a lot of ballast to dump if he wants to win this fall, and he won't be able to do it without alienating the base. And his judgement (or lack thereof) in embracing them in the first place is one of the reasons that I'll have to hold my nose and vote for Bush this fall."

There's lots of airbrushing going on over at the Kerry site. laugh.gif

Does this mean that we should all go home now, while you go skipping down the sidewalk, humming a cute little ditty? Or is this what you wish for us to do?

Personally, if Kerry loses in November, I don't see how you can allow yourself to appear on this forum again, you will have so discredited yourself with your wishful thinking. But then, you probably won't see the significance. wink.gif

You overestimate the detail that voters look at. You are talking inside Beltway stuff. Only a tiny percentage of people give a hoot about that.
The majority of Americans are afraid for their jobs, afraid for their health care, afraid for their children dying based on lies on wars of greed, and for them the choice will be clear: FIRE BUSH!

Can't you come up with a new insult rather than the Nazi brown shirt reference?

That one's getting a little trite.

Perhaps you are right. My apologies. Don't you mean tired, not trite?

Anyway, while we're on the subject here are some fashion tips for Gop 4 Life!

Well, as long as we're on the subject of Iran, I ran across this little tidbit:

Kerry's calls for a rapprochement with Teheran come at a rather inopportune moment. The very regime that Kerry demands we engage, after all, has just been certified as an Al Qaeda sanctuary--and by the very commission in which the Kerry campaign has invested so much hope. The report's finding, moreover, counts as only one of Teheran's sins. Lately its theocrats have been wreaking havoc in Iraq and Afghanistan, aiding America's foes along Iran's borders in the hopes of expanding their influence in both countries, even as they continue to fund Palestinian terror groups.

But of course rapprochement is the only policy Kerry would pursue anywhere. If Kerry had been in charge, he'd still be trying to serve Mullah Omar with extradition papers for Osama bin Laden. sad.gif

The Google definition of "trite" follows:

1. Lacking power to evoke interest through overuse or repitition, hackneyed.
2. Archaic: Frayed or worn out by use.

I meant trite, which is what I said.

"(W)e need to disarm Saddam Hussein. He is a brutal, murderous dictator, leading an oppressive regime. We all know the litany of his offenses. He presents a particularly grievous threat because he is so prone to miscalculation...And now he is miscalculation America's response to his continued deceit and his consistent grasp for weapons of mass destruction. That is why the World, through the United Nations Security Council, has spoken with once voice, demanding that Iraq disclose its weapons programs and disarm. So the threat of Saddam Hussein with weapons of mass destruction is real, but it is not new. It has been with us since the end of the Persian Gulf War." - John Kerry, Jan 23, 2003 (John Kerry voted against the 1st Gulf War)

Fred Barnes has an excellent column on the Democrats' embrace of the loony left.

THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION is curtailing democracy in America. President Bush himself, in case you hadn't noticed, is like Hitler. By the way, he knew about 9/11 beforehand. On top of that, he let Osama bin Laden's relatives sneak out of America shortly after the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The war in Iraq? It's a war for oil. And while we're on the subject of the war, Vice President Cheney intervened to assure contracts in postwar Iraq for Halliburton, the company he once headed.

This is one of the main reasons the Democrats are headed for disaster in November. They have become the unserious party in a serious time.

Bone me, I am sure you do believe that.
However, mainstream America cares about jobs, health care, education, and not having their children die in wars based on lies. On those points, the dems have the positive message, and Bush has the DISASTER.
President John F. Kerry.
Get used to it!

I've always enjoyed this Dave Barry article:

http://psy.otago.ac.nz/r_oshea/argument.html

especially:

QUOTE
Compare your opponent to Adolf Hitler.
This is your heavy artillery, for when your opponent is obviously right and you are spectacularly wrong. Bring Hitler up subtly. Say: ``That sounds suspiciously like something Adolf Hitler might say'' or ``You certainly do remind me of Adolf Hitler.''

Hitler always wins the argument

This is one of the many reasons why I think that citizens should be allowed to pack "heat" outside their clothing. I've said this before and I'll say it again, "An armed society is a polite society". Dave here makes my point: in spades! cool.gif

Copying in (using quote) graphics is against the house rules here now.
Also, such a waste if you are going to put in your illiterate smiley faces.

GOP, Thaiquila is right here. D-amn! Thaiquila is hitting on all cylinders today. He has a good sense of humor that would even make D2 envious, he knows the rules, and he is willing to loosen up and admit that Kerry isn't the steam roller that he earlier thought.

I am truely impressed! cool.gif
