I don't know whether or not we can afford it, at least for now. Long term, for sure we cannot.

Bush has done what he needs to spur the economy, but has shown a real lack of fiscal responsibility in his spending.

That said, they now expect the defecit to be a lot lower than originaly expected.

Also, unsure how Kerry's tax and further spend will do anything positive for the defecit, but certainly have a delitreous effect on the economy, which will further impact the tax collections in a negative fashion.

Hate to say it, but times like this I miss Clinton (on this issue) and the Republican houses he faced.

Fact is the Republicans roll over for Bush, which gives him somewhat of a carte blanche, which is no good either.

I'm perplexed at the solution, but can tell you it's not Kerry. At least not for a good economy.

Sure, and he picked up that Harvard MBA from a Cracker Jack box. But he isn't as intelligent as,........let's say AlGore. The same AlGore who skated by while he was in college.

Oh, that's right; I almost forgot! AlGore is a Democrat, so he has to be more intelligent, since GW is a Republican. That's it. Plus, GW has that "redneck" Texas accent too. What a dunce he is. I suppose my East Tennessee accent also makes me a dunce too. And living in Atlanta, you are obviously living in a sea of stupid people as well. That must be why you moved there. It makes you feel superior, doesn't it?

And KFS, I agree with your post. His fiscal irresponsibility is perplexing. He really thought that he could give the Democrats what they wanted and be liked. He actually tried to be friendly and gain their approval. Teddy Kennedy invited to the White House, allowed to practically write the Education Bill. And what did he get for it? What nievete! wink.gif

GO VOLS!!

Right on both points. smile.gif

If only he could admit it, I would feel better about him.

That is the second most discouraging thing that I find in him and his cabinet, is the lack of willingness to say they were wrong.

I guess it doesn't help however, when everyday you are told that you were not elected, and that you are Hitler.

PS- Roll Tide, but do love that TENN.
