Tonights Convention speech is the culmination of all of the efforts his team has made on his behalf and his opportunity to sell himself as a capable leader of the most powerful Nation on Earth. I am pleased to report that he will fail miserably. His speech will drone on for 55 minutes. He will share no concrete policies with us. He will share a vague outline of a vague plan that isn't formed yet. The people will see an unsure, nervous manufactured politician who is unable to convince Americans the he, himself even believes what he is saying.
Millions of democrats around the country were embarrased for Teresa Kerry toward the end of her speech. Sadly for Liberals every where, John will suffer a similar fate. His speech will be full of reasons why he is so wonderfull and worthy of our trust.
Of course he won't refer to his senate voting record specifically, because that doesn't match up with the way he will describe himself to us. The reason i am doing my critique before it is given is so Thai, Huey and the rest of the Anarchists, Socialists and Liberals won't be too crushed when the big convention of Hope dies a sad and agonizing death at the hands of TRUTH.

Gerard Van der Leun thinks that Kerry is doomed: "it is no longer a question of Kerry and the Democrats losing in November, but only one of how great and lasting their humiliation and degradation is going to be."

http://www.americandigest.org/mt-archives/002010.php Excuse me, but I read this article and this guy sounds like a buffoon.
What are his credentials?
In any case, his thesis is absurd.
Face it, you guys are running scared because you know Kerry has the message, the method, the morals, and the money. Sorry, but the pendelum is swinging and it is about to give you a nice big shock.

Kerry is approaching the stage as i write this. He is milking his entrance for all it is worth. Pointing at alleged friends in the crowd. Encouraging the crowd to applaud more. Thankyou 21 times and he's off. He's reporting for duty. He is home where the nations history was written in blood.
Kerry is proud that he was born in the west wing of the hospital when he was born. So far, all dribble. No substance, his parents tought him to serve. He is such a giver. With him we can change the World.
1st pledge, He will restore honor to the Whitehouse. He's lying about the work he did with McCain looking for MIAs in Nam as he pledges an honorable administation.
He just accepted the nomination for president, He's throwing kisses to John Edwards now, he's trying to sell us on teresa now and thanking his kids.
He's trying to take credit for post 9/11 and implying Bush is blowing it. America never goes to war because we want to, we only go to war because we have to.
He doesn't have the rocks to say it straight but he just said he would kiss up to the UN. To the Armed Forces, help is on the way. He is giving Bush's speech on the military.
He's back in Vietnam with the flag and it belongs to all people. He is full of slogans and cliche's. If these people could only hear what he isn't saying they would all go home. He is talking socialism.
Now he is getting psuedo Religous, He believes nothing but promises everything. He is asking what if and all the things he will never do but promising to do them all.
He is begging for votes and he's done. Thank God, He's milking the applause and giving them thumbs up. He's kissing Edwards, now there hugging and going back on stage. I'm waiting for the balloons, they have 100,000 and they should've dropped by now. Stay tuned.....

Why has everyone forgotten the 35 countries in the coalition ? I guess they figure if they tell the same lie enough times, it will become the truth.

Kerry, Convention Deliver Beefless Burger
By Steve Roeder
Talon News
July 30, 2004
BOSTON (Talon News) -- If Clara Peller, the late gray-haired, five-foot spokeswoman for Wendy's Hamburgers had been in the audience last night at the Democratic National Convention, she would have repeatedly exclaimed her famous line, "Where's the beef?"
The only 'beef' Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry (MA) and other Democrats presented during the four-day convention was the kind that has no dissenters: more jobs, a better economy and an emphasis on the middle class. They avoided any 'burgers with flavor and toppings' on which Democrats and Republicans could possibly debate.
These 'burgers' include: partial-birth abortion, taxes, pre-emptive attacks on known terrorist nations, same-sex marriage, and gun control.
Initially, Kerry was not the first choice of the established Democratic Party. Earlier this year, Al Gore and Jimmy Carter supported Howard Dean, while Bill and Hillary Clinton were behind Wesley Clark. On Thursday night however, Sen. Kerry formally accepted his party's nomination for president of the United States.
In his speech, the Massachusetts senator framed campaign issues that will be used against President George W. Bush, including the Iraq war, health care, the economy, and terrorism. Kerry attempted to paint a picture of an America that has lost its world-wide respect as a leader due to its War in Iraq. Kerry failed to mention the long list of nations that supported the U.S. and are still part of the multinational forces in the liberated country. Nor did Kerry explain how, as president, he would "restore America's respect and leadership" and "rebuild our alliances."
Kerry also did not mention that the year prior to the invasion was time spent by the Bush administration in front of the U.N. -- pleading for them to act upon Resolution 1441 and follow through on the "serious consequences" it threatened for Iraq if they did not comply. Rather, Kerry said he would never "mislead us into war."
"[A]merica never goes to war because we want to," Kerry said. "We only go to war because we have to."
Nor did Kerry, or any other of the speakers in the four days of the convention prior to him, say how their programs would be approved by a Congress most likely to remain in a Republican majority.
Most speakers created more questions than answers. The Democrats were quick to complain about job outsourcing, but did not mention the fact that their views of government support excessive regulation, higher taxes, and strong unions, all of which contribute to companies' willingness to flee the U.S.
Similarly, their complaints concerning the ever-increasing cost of healthcare should be weighed against their opposition to medical tort reform. Trial lawyers are among their largest donors.
"Everything and anything has been discussed but their record," said former New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani of the Democrats.
Kerry's theme was one of "help is on the way." He cited topics such as homelessness, health care, and jobs. Kerry mentioned ideas, such as increasing taxes for those earning greater than $200,000, but other ideas such as reducing the deficit by half in four years by "ending tax giveaways" were, at best, vague examples of how this "help" would be on the way.
In campaign-related news happening outside the doors of Boston's Fleet Center:
Margaret "Peggy" Kerry, a civil servant who works at the U.S. mission to the U.N and sister of Democratic presidential candidate John Kerry, was warned by her employer, the State Department, about her public support of her brother's campaign after she reportedly criticized President George W. Bush's foreign policy. On Monday, she reportedly pledged that her brother would reverse many of Bush's anti-abortion policies.
U.S. law bars career government employees from taking active part in partisan political campaigns. Angry conservative groups claim her promotion of her brother's agenda is to the detriment of her job representing the Bush administration's policies at the U.N.
Four protesters were arrested outside the Convention after skirmishing briefly with police.
After a quiet week at his ranch in Crawford, TX, President George W. Bush returns to the campaign trail Friday with stops in Missouri, Michigan, and Ohio. On Thursday, administration officials said that presidential approval of some of the changes suggested by the 9/11 commission could come by early next week through an executive order.
Similarly, Kerry and Edwards depart Friday on a 3,500-mile, campaign swing that will take them through 21 states.

Talon News is a radical right wing portal. It is such a biased source that it can only be called PROPOGANDA.
If you are going to post on this board, why not bother to THINK FOR YOURSELF and come up with your OWN IDEAS?

I have not read the article referenced but it is not necessary. How can you dismiss a right wing source calling it propaganda and therefore unworthy of a rebuttle and in the meantime post editorials from leftists?

"A", Left and Right Wing is considered in two ways. First, and incidentally the way I view it is a fixed set of points. In other words, Collectivist Left, Federalist Center, and Individualist Right. The center never changes for me. Few people look at it like this.
The other way is to look at it based upon the observer's point of reference. The elite press, and Thaiquila automatically look upon themselves as middle of the field, and peg everything else from where they stand. So, anything to the right of them is Right Wing. That is why there is NO Left Wing cinspiracy, because to them, there isn't very much of a Left Wing, since there isn't much to the Left of them.
A classic example is Uncle Joe Stalin. He once called Adolf Hitler a Right Winger. Forget the fact that he was a National Socialist (NSDAP), but he happened to be slightly to the right of Uncle Joe. Only the Borg were really to the left of him. Get it?
So, when he labels the news source you read as a "Radical Right Wing Portal", he really means, without thinking about it, that your source is to the right of him. And that could mean almost anything.

Thai Thai Thai, This comes from the highest eshelons of this forum. STOP whining and point out the innacuracies in the article. God Love Ya, you remind me of my ex wife. The only reason you are yelling at me is because you hate these accurate appraisals of your saviours speech. I'm a nice guy Thai, ask me, i'll tell ya, and if you'll give me enough time, i'll find someone else to tell ya. You hurt my feelings when you get so angry that i'm always right. I can't help it though, i'm just trying to teach you that your betting on a loser, and it's only going to get worse.

"Well, that speech certainly reminded me why I'm not voting for John Kerry. Contrary to much of the rest of the convention, it was a red-meat speech, complete with "Bush lied" rhetoric, pharmaceutical-company bashing, xenophobic talk about outsourcing, and a promise to make health care "a right." Aside from the much-remarked-upon flag-waving-veteran talk, the speech was mostly made up of (in Kerry's anti-GOP words) "narrow appeals masquerading as values." Better a tongue-tied president than a demagogue." Virginia Postrel
