Full Version: Arab American Vote Could Be The Key
Political Topics And Discussion > All Things Political > US Presidential Campaign 2004

Arab Americans have been treated badly by Bush's America, so they are switching big time to the DEMOCRATS. Welcome aboard, Arabs. Interestingly, the friendliest groups towards American Arabs are African Americans and Jewish Americans.

This Arab American voting block is very important because Arab populations are concentrated in big swing, battleground states.

We love you Arab American people. You deserve to be treated equally and fairly like all other kinds of Americans.

I'm sorry but if and whenever I am around large concentrations or Arab Americans with whom I am unfamiliar it makes me nervous. Well, actually only if I happened to be getting on an airplane with them or another similar circumstance. I guess you could call that racial profiling.

This is a great example as to why you are not taken seriously. If being treated badly means that we don't go around apologizing and kissing their backside all day long, then you may be correct.

The last I remember, ALL the terrorists who helped plow jet airliners into our buildings were Arabs. And Arabs are almost exculsively Muslims. So, they fit into a logical profile that Should be treated as a high priority.

And John Zogby and his crowd may shout and scream about the unfairness of it all, all they wish. It doesn't change the fact that the President and his admininistration is saddled with the responsibility to provide security for US citizens. That means Us, including you, no matter how much you may not wish to be effectively protected.

You may feel uncomfortable, but I have news for you, buddy, there are millions of totally legimaite 100 percent American citizen Arab people in the US and they vote and they have changed from republicans to DEMOCRATS because of George W Bush.

Thus the irony.

This group, with along with homosexual Americans, are the MOST HATED and MOST DISCRIMINATED against in America are going to have the power and use the power to unseat the evil regime of George W Bush.

America really is great!

Sounds as though France is your ideal country. Do you need any help getting your visa processed? You could help take up the slack of Askenasiam leaving European nirvana on a daily basis. cool.gif

Hello, Arab American here... I have a totally arab name and the Bush Government hasn't knocked on my door or harrassed me in any way. My rights have never been violated, even when i have flown. Like millions of immigrants my grandfather came to this country in the 30s. Arab profiling is neccessary and i am all for it. Notice i didn't say racial profiling, i said arab profiling. Anybody of middle eastern descent should be scrutinized in a focused manner. This is right and proper for the security of this nation.

So thats ONE vote for Bush, while the majority of your Arab American brothers are switching to the party that has historically been the home of minority Americans -- the DEMOCRATS. Welcome home, Arab Americans. You have made the right choice.

this is utterly stupid.

what does an arab look like?

does he look like Zacarias Moussaui or Prince Bandar or this guy Ghailani, all of whom look like alot of Black Americans i see everyday?

does he look like any of these guys, cuz i have uncles that look like some of them and theyre Hispanic, very far from arab

the point is, when u allow for profiling of one group, u open the door for the profiling of others... terrible policy to get involved with.

Good Response Sir Brilliant. You have a point. However, that is what a professional screener, state trooper, policeman, or intelligence officer is supposed to discern through proper screening, asking the right questions, checking eye to eye contact, and observing the potential suspect with his/her surroundings.

That is what these professionally trained people are constantly taught. And it has nothing to do with violation of Liberties, or discrimination. It has to do with enforcement of the law and protection of the innocent. cool.gif
Gop 4 life!
Wow, I'm still amazed at how Thaoloser thinks he can go around insulting our intelligence, Arab-Americans have never been staunchly Republican.

Scary Kerry's biggest Arab supporters are also terrorists lets remember.

Get your facts straight before you make a fool of yourself.

A majority of Arab Americans voted for Bush in 2000.
Is that staunch enough for you?

This time they will be abandoning your dear republican hate cabal for the inclusive tent of the democrats.

Why would they feel that way?

Could it be that they do not appreciate being tossed in with the Al Queda terrorists who happen to be Arab?

This is also why, ironically, American Jews are overwhelmingly sympathetic with American Arabs. Jews understand from personal history the injustice of being racially stereotyped.
