VFW recalls Kerry's anti-war past

By Ralph Z. Hallow
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

The Veteran of Foreign Wars made it clear yesterday that it is none too pleased with Sen. John Kerry's 1970s role in the defunct Vietnam Veterans Against the War, which, at the time, called the VFW a "a paramilitary, pro-war organization" out of touch with young veterans.

John Kerry will speak to any group of Americans.
He is not afraid of a cold reception.
He will be a great president of ALL the people in America.
bush is president for two groups, the radical right wing Xian fundamtalists and the one percent of extremely wealthy people. If you are one of these groups, vote to reelect the president. If not, you are a FOOL if you do.

Actually, the extremely wealthy which includes many Hollywooders who wouldn't miss more taxes being taken out of their pay, are on Kerry's side! It's only the extremely wealthy who understand economics who are against him. wink.gif

As for the VFW....I wonder if Kerry is a member?

Personally, I'm sick of hearing Kerry and his supporters honking his military service record horn. So what if he joined the Navy! A lot of young men joined one of the volunteer branches back then so they wouldn't get drafted into the Army because the Army is infantry. So Bush chose the NG and Kerry chose the Navy. Maybe Kerry liked their uniforms better! LOL...joke.....but seriously, what he did over in Nam is the same thing many enlisted men did more times over without medal recognition. If he expects anyone who was in the service to hold him in revere over his medals he's as delusional as I think he is, not to mention he didn't spend enough time there to find out what real soldiers do every day! He had a lot to learn if he'd stayed the course.

Furthermore, just because he was in the Navy and served for a 3 months in Nam does not mean he knows the "Military" as a whole as far as the different stradegies and capabilities of each and within each and would make a good Commander in Chief. That he pretends to know it all because he was in Nam for a few months, only means we're in deep do do if he gets elected in this day and age when our country needs a president who is concerned enough to know he needs to not lay back on his past laurals.

Thaiquila, have you applied yet for the open position of Deputy Propoganda Minister for the Peoples Republic of China? You would be a natural. I hear the pay is good, and you can practice your Capitalist baiting to your heart's content. cool.gif wink.gif

I watched his speach last night and he sure got a luke warm reception compared to the three standind ovations GWB got from the same crowd.
Kerry is all fluff and frilly rhetoric. And not so subtly trying to undermine the actions of our commander and chief. The Botox boy is destined for ignomity. laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

But there was a clear divide, with scores of veterans sittings with their arms folded while others clapped. (AP Photo/David Kohl)
