Why are the US borders open sieves?
I know of no other country that puts up with this kind of situation.
The immigration is mostly Latino but includes others, including potential terrorists.

Why is this tolerated?
Could it be that big business needs this pool of cheap labor with NO RIGHTS to exploit and also keep down the wages of citizens?
And doesn't the overuse of emergeny rooms by illegal aliens raise cost taxpayers mucho dinero?

This has all gotten out of hand.
Rules need to be made and ENFORCED.
There is no will to seriously enforce the rules we have now.

I have no doubt that an orderly, LEGAL, flow of a reasonable number of immigrants is good for everyone, citizens and newcomers alike. But the way it is going now, average American citizens are being taken for SUCKERS. Any sovereign nation has complete rights to control its borders.

WOW! Something I completely agree with you on, TQ.

Of course it is easier said than done if we want to retain the reason why people come here to begin with.

How hard could it really be?
Impose a really huge FINE on anyone who hires illegal aliens, including casual suburbanites for yard work.
That would dry things up MIGHTY QUICK.
I wouldn't want this to be inhumane.
When the work dried up, the government could furnish meal and expense vouchers and free tickets OUT OF HERE.
I actually love Latino people and culture, but this situation isn't fair to anyone, including the immigrants. With the exploited illegals deported, there could a greatly increased quota of legal immigration through the embassies abroad, and all of these applicants could be fully vetted before approval.
