Full Version: Daschle Even Supports Bush

You'd think that if the Minority leader has his head on straight, some of these Lefties here would too.
QUOTE
How bad has it gotten for Democrats at summer's end: A paid TV advertisement from Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle, President Bush's top congressional foe, features the South Dakotan hugging and embracing President Bush!

While Democrat party officials of all stripes decend on New York City to blast the president, Daschle has quietly purchased air time in his home state for the minute-long campaign commerical -- a commerical insiders have dubbed: "Bush Hug."

This was the funniest news I heard all day.

Talk about an opportunist & a hypocrite.

I hope the RNC has the cajones to take advantage of this.

Too often they are whimpy in using the fodder the left gives them.

It's brass balls time.

I agree. The race is a close one. If the majority of the SD voters can't recognize pandering when they see it, they shouldn't even bother to vote. wink.gif

oh geez.

more Smudge Report. rolleyes.gif

look, OBVIOUSLY Tom Daschle was displaying in his ad his ability to work bi-partisanly during America's time of need.

the video of that hug was shot right after 9/11.

i HARDLY think thats any indorsement of George Bush, or that Tom Daschle thinks using an incumbent president that has less than a 50% approval rating and is tied in presidential polls with someone who ALL Republicans think is a flip-flopping idiot is a good way to win an election.

i swear, if the Smudge Report doesnt pounce on the stupidest little things and try to weave them into these hypothetical scandal fantasies...

and u sheep swallow it all whole.
Kerry for Senator
Huey, Drudge Report is widely referenced.

I don't see you out attacking blatantly left propoganda.

You think calling it Smudge in some way makes an intelligent argument?

The fact jack is that Daschle is a political opportunist.

You want to yell at Bush for using 9/11 for his own advantage, and you give this schmuck a pass?

Then he hugs Bush, and you want to justify it, and give him another pass?

How disingenuous.

You asked me earlier why I don't attack Bush more? Well I think you have your answer.

When the left wants to stand for something more than I'm not Bush, and when the left wants to be rational in its argument, then I will take them more seriously.

Very dissapointed in you young man.

Go to your room. laugh.gif
Huey_P
oh no, forgive me for telling the truth!

once again, what did i say in our previous discussion about "political opportunism" ??

EVERYBODY DOES IT, because thats what politics IS.

therefore it is a moot issue.

the Republicans are using Zell Miller to give the impression of "bipartisanship" for his convention, which we all know is bull#### and nothing more than mere "political opportunism" using a so-called Republican in donkeys clothing to make Bush appear more "compassionate".

in no way am i giving Tom Daschle ANY kind of pass. i dont like the guy and never have, and i dont particularly hold any interest in Nebraska or South Dakota or wherever he's from.

im only telling the truth.
Kerry for Senator
1) Zell Miller endorses Bush.

2) Zell Miller wilfully agreed to endorse Bush, and accept the invitation of the GOP.

3) Zell has retired from office.

Daschle has said some of the most terrible things about the President, then when in a close race, in a state where the President is liked, puts the President in a commercial hugging him.

Come on man. Could you imagine Ted or Kerry pandering so low.

There is no comparison between Zell & Daschelle.

Come closer to the center my friend. That's where the gold is. smile.gif

The left made a real mistake with Kerry. He was the least liked of all the Dem candidates, until the rest proved themselves completely a joke and unelectable. Now they embrace him like he's the greatest since sliced bread. This my friend is the sin, and it will not go unpunished.

And the real sin is that if and when Kerry loses in November, the punishment will, of course, be directed at Kerry. All those Brilliant Democrats, such as Huey, will turn on him and blame him for their own shortsightedness and emotional responses.

After all, it is not polite for a Democrat to blame himself, unless he can "toot up" the victimhood thing. rolleyes.gif
Kerry for Senator
I'm cancelling all appointments and travel the first week of Nov.

This board will be a hoot.

I predict that the board will slowly die out if Bush looses.

I think the left will not be as absorbed defending Kerry as they are degrading Bush.

Whoever becomes President after Bush, if on the left, will have ###### to pay. Never has the office of President been degraded as the left has done to Bush. All proprieties are hence forth thrown out the window. I can'[t wait to hear the left whine about fairness, and respect for the office.
