Bush Campaign Shift: Now, It's a One-Man Race

(2004-08-26) -- President George Bush today announced a major strategy shift in his re-election campaign brought on by what he described as "the failure of my nominal opponent to present a single reason voters should support him."

The Bush-Cheney campaign will now simply ignore John Forbes Kerry, the Democrat candidate and Vietnam veteran who is also a U.S. Senator.

"It's hard to mount an entire campaign against an opponent who has no record, no bedrock values, no consistent positions, no new ideas and only wants to talk about something he hasn't done for 35 years," said Mr. Bush. "So far, the fight has been between me and anti-me...Bush against hate-Bush. From now on, we're looking at a one-man race for the presidency."

Campaign insiders said TV and radio ads will no longer mention the Democrat candidate, but will simply focus on the president's record and his vision for the future.

"I can't change people whose hearts overflow with hatred," said the president. "So I'll just focus on rallying those whose minds are still open. We're going to target what you call your sentient beings."

You applaud the crafting of your political DOOM.
Of course this is about bush and the RESULTS and RECORD of the bush regime.
Hilarious that you are optimistic about this.
You must really think the American people are incredibly stupid.
What a dark bunch you are.

Hey, you can dislike a canadate or political part all you want, but Bush is pointing out that you can't alter people who's minds and hearts are filled with a blind and incoherent hatred, instead of guided reason.

I could say, John Kerry is a political #####-face, but it doesn't make it true, unless that is, i back it up with some sort of reasoning.

Which i imagine woulnd't be all too hard to find....

No offense, but will you be going back to Canada soon where people understand your twists and run around in the circles those twists create?

Sometimes I think taking over Canada would be a good idea! They're already so interested in our government and not their own! I think they might like to actually enjoy being invited to become part of the United States. They want to be us, I know it! biggrin.gif

Pauley, I used to go there every day, and catch Mr. Ort's wonderful satire. But, honestly, I have been neglectful of late. Today, I noticed the site in the News folder of my Opera bookmarks. So I went there, and Lord!, what a treasure trove!

I'm going to start visiting him at least every other day now.

And yes, TQ, as usual, has his panties in a distinct wad. biggrin.gif

A corporate buy-out may be worthwile, under certain circumstances, although I doubt it. Also, if we did buy them out, we would have to immediately sell off the Quebec province, before we were further tainted. And Nova Scotia and Newfoundland are nothing but welfare cases. We would have to give them away to someone more caring. Perhaps the EU would....................................... cool.gif

I like Canada and Canadians, but the pricing on their Nova Scotia lox is clearly an an aggresive act of war! Time to march on Toronto.
