I agree, the Govenator was great! His message to all Americans, from all political backgrounds and walks of life to unify at a time of War was brilliant!!!

CA will definitely go Democrat. No doubt about it, but wishful thinking on your part.

As for Schwarzennegar, he is disapointing as a govenor.

I guess he is doing the best he can, but it is not seriously impressive.

Davis was a nightmare, and I voted for the recall, and for Shwarzennegar, but question if he will get my vote again.

KFS,

Fair enough. As a Californian do think there are any serious compeditors against Arnie's wealth/profile etc in the next state govenors race? And what do you think about the plan to have a panel of reitred judges redraw California's electoral boundaries?

Arnie is untouchable, at least for now. He does a pretty good job appealing to both sides. I think the Republicans aren't that happy with him, but realisticly, he has an upward battle. Any concession he get's seem small, but in fact is huge.

Haven't heard anything about redrawing the electoral boundaries. Scarey.

PS- Latest news: California seeks to il-legalize (?) Foux Gras (?) (goose liver pattee.)
Campbell
KFS,

California leading the way in legalization of stuff isn't surprising...a popular aussie band named "spiderbait" recently recorded their latest best selling album in California...the town where they recorded it was named "Weed".

Yeah, the desert. Very cool.

They say CA is the only place, that you can ski, surf, and go to the desert all in one day.

When I finally get the chance to go to the States (once I've scraped together enough aussie pesos for the airfare that is), I'm definitely goin to California...first off I'll probably do all the cheesy tourist type things like Hollywood, Beverly Hills bus tours...but then I want to check out some of the surf breaks (Mavericks...I'll be watchin not riding - not that crazy!). I have mate who reckons the snowboarding is tops at Tahoe (?) but is bloody expensive!

Arnold's speech last night was nothing short of great! Large parts of Calif. will be going Republican! biggrin.gif
