Bush: RNC Doing Good Job 'Hiding Our Wackos'

(2004-08-30) -- President George Bush today told reporters on Air Force One that he's pleased with what he has seen of the Republican National Convention, and said party leaders are doing a "good job hiding our wackos from the cameras."

"If you watch the TV," said Mr. Bush, "You might think that the Republican party consists of reasonable fiscal conservatives with solid American values and a healthy concern for the defense of our nation. I applaud the convention organizers who are keeping the crazies under wraps."

The president added that for weeks he has worried that the Republican Convention would be "dominated by our rank-and-file wild-eyed neanderthal bigots who want to bomb the rest of the world back to the bronze age--in other words, the folks we call 'the base'."

You know John, not everyone who reads these boards knows this is a joke. You know I didn't the first time you put one up about Rumsfield. We have lurkers here who might take this stuff seriously since you don't put a disclaimer on it other than the link, which again I say, might mean nothing to some....but who knows if you might be steering votes to Kerry. These things belong in the humor section. mad.gif

In satire, there is truth.
The bush regime is NOT Arnold, it is NOT McCain, it is NOT Guiliana.
It is hiding behind this more moderate facade.
Their compassion begins and ends with their corporate cronies and the super elites.
DON'T BE FOOLED AGAIN!

Oh Jaybee, lighten up. And no, it does not belong in the humour section. It is about US Presidential Elections. And it is a satirical slap at those who are whinning about all the "so called" Moderates taking orders from the Whacko Right.

I suggest that you stick around a little longer, and you will become an expert at reading between the lines, just like Cleo. You ladies, not you Cleo, need to acquire a little bit more mirth. I'm on your side here, even if I am not a Republican. Will a Classical Liberal/Libertarian Independent be alright for you? cool.gif

Hey John, I can take a joke just fine. I was concerned about the liberals who take everything seriously, that's all.

BTW, I stay lightened up actually! Right now I'm wearing bunny slippers, goggles with crazy eyes painted on and John Kerry's wind surfing outfit! LOL

Krispy Kreme Fights Falling Profits with Atkins Donuts
(2004-08-25) -- Executives at Krispy Kreme today announced they would fight plunging profits with a new line of Atkins-friendly donuts.

Krispy Kreme has been hammered in recent months by the wave of low-carbohydrate diets which have converted legions of Americans from obese couch potatos into sleek, health enthusiasts.

The new low-carb Krispy Kreme donuts are made "mostly of lean meat, tripe and other mouth-watering meat byproducts," according to a company spokesman.

Ridge: Kennedy Not Immediate Threat to Homeland

(2008-08-20) -- Senator Edward M. Kennedy, D-MA, does not pose an immediate threat to the security of the American homeland and he should be allowed to board commercial airliners, according to a statement from Homeland Security Director Tom Ridge.

The Massachusetts politician complained recently that he had been prevented from boarding planes because his name is similar to an alias used by a man on a government "watch list."

"We do not, at this time, view Sen. Ted Kennedy as an immediate threat to the safety and security of America," said Mr. Ridge. "We continue to seek the whereabouts of another man--Mohammad Tehdi al-Kennedy, who has ties to the al Qaeda terror network."

Mr. Ridge added that, "although the Senator and his party seek the overthrow of the current administration and preach a radical doctrine that would decimate the American economy, we have no hard evidence that he's linked directly to any foreign groups that would celebrate those outcomes."

Sorry...I should have filled in the blanks for you....but forget it, I can't be arsed!

But since you seem to imply (notice I said "seem" to "imply" which means by your rules of semantics I am right any way you twist it )you take things seriously, try this one on for starters....National Security!
