This is fear mongering Thai, Kerry has made it clear that he isn't for going after terrorists before they attack us, but waiting untill we're attacked again to retaliate, which i think is just about the dumbest assanine policy when it comes to protecting the country. How's that gonna save American lives? I'd sure like to know.

Cheney is putting it blunty, he's saying what is probable to happen should Kerry be elected.

I dont get how you can trust a guy like Kerry with the defense of this nation.

Cheney's statement was wrong and I'm sure he will realise this. It's one of the few mistakes I have seen the Bush team make.

The media has already been discussing this on all channels and guess what? Get another dream, boy! They all are saying Kerry already said the same thing about Bush before Cheney said it about Kerry.

Thai you're taking Cheney way out of context here. He's stating that if Kerry is elected, the threat and danger of an attack is more likley, which by everything that has been presented is pretty much true anyway.

You're making it sound like he's saying "Vote for Kerry and we'll be attacked for sure!".

You are exactly right Boon Me. Everybody knows that Republicans have always been stronger on defense than Dems. Had Cheney said it was important to fight a more sensitive war, now that would have been considered a lie and a rediculous statement. This is not the last time you will hear Dick say the same thing during this campaign. Especially now that he has seen the liberals reaction to it.

One cannot reasonlably make a direct connection between who is in office and the chances of an attack. If people want to attack America they will!

Gideon, you are right if people want to TRY to attack America they will. But trying and doing it are 2 different things. If kerry get's in and breaks up Homeland Security and the Patriot Act, we will be plucking out our own eyes and ears thus becoming much more vulnerable to an attack. This is my concern, and it is a valid one knowing kerry as I do.
