We have a volunteer military. Only Michael Moore thinks 'we' send out [kids] into the armed forces, where incidentally, they sign up for hazardous duty from day one.

The majority of the "volunteers" have few other options for economic reasons.
There is no doubt there would be less military adventurism if the children of the RICH were indeed compelled to serve along with black and brown brothers from the slums and barrios of America.

But that doesnt matter much right now as much as it did before. He's so week, he cant do anything. Afghanistan's tyranny has ended, and they now have freedom. Iraq's tyranny has ended, and they now have freedom. The world is a lot better off. They just are. In this day and age, a good warrior doesnt mean killing everyone, or else we could've just sent a hundred nukes to afghanistan and iraq. Instead, good warriors try to bring peace by way of force.

Come on man look, you guys say that joining the military is some flesh tearing job that involves dying on a daily basis, and everyone is out with their guns stepping on land mines and whatnot. There are over 200 jobs in the army alone, and only one of them is infantry. What about the squids in the navy? Jeez, people act as if we're sending our kids into ######. They get to chose their job and most of the time get what they choose. Most of the people in infantry chose that job. Now I dont know about the army or anything, but people from rich families and poor families join the marines for one reason-PATRIOTISM. If you join the marines, you don't care about the money. Michael Moore's movie makes it look like people are being convinced to join up as if they were being convinced to buy a car. EVERYONE who joins the marines ABSOLUTELY HAS TO IN THEIR HEART. This isn't some job in food lion as a bagger. They have to do a 5 mile and must qualify for all the physical, mental, and emotional requirements.
