Plans for another Republican fraud in the United States revealed
WASHINGTON (PL) – The Republican party in the United States intends to repeat a act of fraud similar to that in the 2000 elections in the upcoming polls, according to a confidential document transmitted today by the British BBC TV today.
The text, obtained from within President George W. Bush’s campaign team in Florida, discloses a plan aimed at preventing the African-American districts of this state from voting, confirmed the BBC on its website.
The British television mentioned two e-mails elaborated by the Republican office in Florida, containing a long list of voters who are to be intimidated out of exercising their right to vote.
The 15-page messages were addressed to Bush’s campaign director in the southern state and to the national director of investigations into the Republican contest, alerting them to a so-called corralling list.
The e-mails contain the names and addresses of 1,886 voters, mostly black people residing in traditionally Democratic areas of Jacksonville.
According to electoral supervisor Ion Sancho, this list reveals Republican plans to intimidate voters. Sancho, whose office is located in Tallahassee, claimed that the only motive for Bush’s team keeping this inventory is because they want to challenge people on the list on election day.
According to Sancho, the Republican strategy consists of having this group of over a thousand citizens surrounded by activists who would intercept them before their arrival at the ballot boxes to question their credentials and delay their access to the ballots, thus preventing them from voting.
This sort of mass intimidation is illegal, and has not occurred in Florida in the 16 years that I have been a supervisor, pointed out the Democrat.
In Sancho’s opinion, there is no doubt that such a maneuver is aimed at provoking chaos on election day and discouraging people from voting.
This Tuesday, civil rights organizations also expressed concern over the possibility of another electoral fraud in the US elections.
