But there was NO MANDATE.
It was a bare majority.
In politics, I am sorry, 51 percent is not a mandate.
55 percent is.

Hardly a one party system. After all filibusters are still "de rigeur" for the democrats.

If the democrats do not learn from their errors, it may be so by the next election though.
