I've stated many times that The Dems can expect to be in minority status for at least a generation to come. This only extends it out further. If they don't get their act together and change, make that prediction several generations.

I hope they will not make the mistake of the European Left to shift to the moderate center right due to popular opinion, only to be still called "socialists" and make the extreme rightwing look like an acceptable choice.
