WASHINGTON - Liberal powerhouse MoveOn has a message for the "professional election losers" who run the Democratic Party: "We bought it, we own it, we're going to take it back."

I've stated many times that The Dems can expect to be in minority status for at least a generation to come. This only extends it out further. If they don't get their act together and change, make that prediction several generations. wink.gif

Oh my god, the ghost of John L just showed up as we all know that John L would never come back here for posting (like he has said so many times). A man of words for sure. A true conservative.

I find it hard to believe that the American public would once again re-elect a group of people who are driving the country into bankruptcy.

When the foreign donors stop the cash inflows shortly, it's going to be very clear to everyone how badly Bush has mismanged the economy. This is the president who turned a budget surplus of 2% of GDP into a deficeit of 4.5%. The net result will be a sharp fall in the standard of living for the average American.

"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." H. L. Mencken (1880 - 1956)

I hate to admit it, but that is a great quote for your signature lamphun. Is that for real? smile.gif

I hope they will not make the mistake of the European Left to shift to the moderate center right due to popular opinion, only to be still called "socialists" and make the extreme rightwing look like an acceptable choice. This is a matter of standing by what one knows to be true, rather than relying on opinion polls and following the trend of engaging former actors to feed the masses their own prejudices.
New strategies need to be formed to combat the phenomenon of Neo Con hate-propaganda reminiscent of that employed by the Nazis.

If you believe the rightwingers in the bearpit provide a new benchmark for the blind following the ignorant, you haven't read the foulmouthed crap the fanatics spout in other forums.

If the Democrats were smart they would dump the flakes. Then they should find common ground with the decent American conservatives who aren't happy with the neo-con fanatics who have hi-jacked the GOP.
