What War on Terror ?

Richard Clarke, the former White House counter-terrorism czar under both President Clinton and President Bush, has been an outspoken critic of the current administration since he left it.

He accuses the Bush administration of a lack of strategic thought.

"So much of the US government's attention is on Iraq that they are really not thinking conceptually about the war on terrorism," he told me.

"President Bush has conflated Iraq and the war on terrorism into one thing, and therefore when they're working on Iraq they think they're working on the war on terrorism - which of course they're not because it's a very different thing.

We, "liberals" have been saying this all long. Of course the Bush supporters fail to see that. I guess they will get the message once again too late when another 911 strike. Totally blind. Well, at least they will deserve it, once more.

Stroll, I certainly agree with you on the issue of quotas. I am glad you are passionate about it. Perhaps you have not heard the American term "Affirmative Action"? Affirmative Action is the Politically Correct terminology for QUOTAS. Also, in case you were not aware, Affirmative Action is a cornerstone of American Liberal thinking. I know, it might be hard to believe, especially because it DOES vulcanize society, as you suggest, but if you are to continue here on an American political forum as a liberal, you will HAVE TO accept the wisdom of QUOTAS.

This forum is more hillbillish than most, but it is not totally the fault of the conservatives. Besides, the election is over, the Iraq vote is about to happen, no terrorism through the holidays, the giant wave is history, what else is there to do but talk trash and sex.

I don't know much about Oprah, but what do you think about the Jets winning in OT, and the SL Rams winning. Imagine, an 8-8 team getting to the playoffs and winning.
