Rice Does Not Rule Out Prez Run 2008; 'Mildly Pro-choice' Stance On Abortion.

Rice pointedly declined to rule out running for president in 2008 on Friday during an hour-long interview with reporters at WASHINGTON TIMES, top sources tell DRUDGE. Rice gave her most detailed explanation of a 'mildly pro-choice' stance on abortion, she would not want the government 'forcing its views' on abortion... She explained that she is libertarian on the issue, adding: 'I have been concerned about a government role'.

She'd beat Hillary hands-down! biggrin.gif

I know this is off topic, but I couldn't find a place to ask this in all the topics being discussed. I only see Bm, TQ, GOP 4 life, John L, and a few newbies debating on the current events, what happen to everyone else? I've been off awhile, but missed everyone arguing. Where's Huey P. Mcaine, and all the other people who normally have alot to say on current events? I've been gone to long, I'm out of the loop. sad.gif

It is literally impossible in the current political atmosphere for any prominant politician to be pro life or anti affirmative action and survive.

So it is up to YOU to change that, to change the atmosphere. Protest, make phone calls, et cetera. If you want you're leaders to support what's right, you will have to make it possible for them to do so.

Thems the breaks, kid.

Yeah Taste is pretty much right about this. Oliver North is a convicted criminal, making him the Vice President of the United States = bad idea.

Where does North get his chops to be VP anyways? He is a former Military officer with no real political experiance whatsoever.

Ollie ran for a senate seat in Virginia back in the 90's and lost by a close margin. And what's wrong with a former vet with combat expierience being commander and chief?
Ben-T
Going from

-Military Officer with no experiance in political office whatsoever

To

-The Vice Presidency of the United States of America

You don't see that as a rather large leap?

Even if he's a former drug runner? I suppose that's okay.

Well, duh... of course it's okay. We had GHWBush, didn't we?

Taste what are you worried about? Oliver can't possibly become president, after all, he doesnt belong to any of the necessary secret societies. =P

OK, so I've been reading through this thread. Where are the voices of reason here? Everybody is either right, or left. Closed-minded partisan voters who are brainwashed and back their party of choice no matter what. And never admit mistake. For instance, I supported the war in Iraq, and still do. But there is no denying that thus far, it's been botched. Yet nobody from the Dubya camp, or his supporters, will admit mistake, or make corrections that would indicate mistakes were made. More boots on the ground, and sealing of the Syrian border is needed. Isn't the second rule of combat to secure the perimeter? Who the hell constructed this war plan anyway? The Dems constantly piss me off too, but one thing at a time. Then there are people who vote on the single issue of abortion. How shallow is that? Now hate long winded posts, so I'm gonna babble on. But I would like to say, I love that gif of Ms. Due. I'm a FoxNews junkie. But fair and balanced my as*. I watch them because they have the hottest women in the news media. Here's my favorite.

hes not oging to admit to a mistake because the Press and half this country have been waiting to pounc eon him. if he admitted to anyhting, he would be impeached before the sun set.

i dont care what he SAYS, i have never cared for what a Prez says while in office. some of the speeches are cool to look at, if they had good speechwriters. its what a President DOES that make sme vote for them or not. i dont care word one what a politican mumbles on the campaign trail; i KNOW what they are going to sday befor ethey say it. its what a person DOES with their experiences that i lookl at. voting records. criminal history, whatever it is that speaks aobut the guys character.

as far as 'o8 goes, the ONLY perosn i would wholeheartedly and unconditionally support, is Tommy Franks. anyone else would have to EARN my vote. anyone else running would have to either be LESS WORSE than a Dem or have a good voting record i nthe Congress, Senate, or Governorship.

but i think we are talking fantasy elections here, who we would pick that we are enthusiastic about running. and for me, its Franks all the way.

I hope that Rice/North do run.

With the publics opinion being at an all time low on the Iraq situation, and probably will stay that way, it should be an easy win for Progressives! tongue.gif biggrin.gif
Ben-T
Every election is an easy win for the Progressives, since the title is ridiculously un-definable. A progressive is one who progresses, every human being on Earth is a Progressive.

It looks like I'm out of my league here for sappy I mean snappy comebacks.

FYI I've been out of the FNN loop for some time.
I mention Clint Eastwood more in humor but actually not entirely because he did in fact became a respectable mayor in Carmel. But due to his lack of ambition for political limelight he's not a realistic major league political candidate.
My point is people like Clint Eastwood and Tom Sellect do in fact have their heads screwed on correctly and have the mass appeal and possible political clout to be effective politicians.
After all Ronald Reagan held his own despite being denigrated by the the lefties every step he took.

Coulter is a daft kunt, incapable of thinking outside her own box..

and Condi is a parakeet, not a Condor.

this isnt a time for jokes, this is a time to elect a strong leader with a track record of honesty integrity and leadership qualities.

its time to elect a Soldier-President.

we need Warriors, not more pundits and lawyers...

How about Colin Powell and David Duke! popcorn.gif laugh.gif
ghoullio
why Colin?

im always amazed that people who are Right wingers support Colin Powell, when there is really no difference between him and Wesley Clark.

and Duke?

your serious?

he has no chance in hell, and last i saw him, he was flipping burgers at Whataburger.

use your creative mind and detemrination for forward progress for Amerika and come up with a viable nominee for President.

parroting what oyu hear on AM radio will get you nowhere.

also, you dont choose the Veep. you choose POTUS, and hope he wins the nomination, and then HE decides who his running mate is. the old glory days of political hacks runnig together with a valid hunger for change and prosperity for Amerika are over. its every rat for himself these days, and you select your running mate by looking at your weakest demographic and selecting one that shores up your chances of winning the shaded areas.

why else would Kerry have picked that tool Edwards? you think they were REALLY in love?

What's the point? Ronald Reagan isn't President anymore, so everything else is just going to feel like a soppy let down.

I like Trent Lott and Karl Rove. Think about that for a while.
There aren't enough ambulances in America to deal with all the Bluestaters strokin out. We'll just have to let them lay there foaming and flop about.

Jimmy Carter was a good person and arguably the worst President in American history. It's between him and Truman for worst President. Both were cowards and nothing will get you in trouble faster in geo-politics then cowardice. That is why both didn't get a second term.
ghoullio
Carter before Truman.

Truman was at least willing to win the war in the pacific...

Carter would have built shoddy houses for the Nips.
