Maybe he's not as big a RINO as I thought.

Schwarzenegger talks tough on illegal immigration
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said the nation's policy on preventing illegal immigration is too lax, telling a group of newspaper publishers the United States needs to "close the borders."

SACRAMENTO -- Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger moved quickly Wednesday to apologize for suggesting that California's border with Mexico should be closed in an effort to solve the nation's illegal immigration problem.

Schwarzenegger said he misspoke in comments to newspaper editors and publishers Tuesday, intending to say the border should be secured. The governor blamed the error on his sometimes flawed use of English -- his second language.

Membrane, that is 'political speak' for "I screwed up and spoke my real mind, but it got me in trouble. Let's change it to 'secure' the borders. Sounds better, and helps me get off the hook for telling the truth."

It keeps the Wackos off his back a little bit. wink.gif

Of course not! Why would you ask a question such as that? And if I did, is that a bad thing?

As a matter of fact, I am a HUGE hetrogeneous mixture of Irish, German, English, American Indian, and lastly Moroccam Sephardic Jews.

I think that what you are driving at is that I am a true follower of the Founders and the origional intent of the Constitution. Am I not correct?

This is just what the modern left thinks about those quaint, but primitive people. Forget the very fact that they were the greatest accumulation of geniuses the world has ever encountered. And they were, for the most part, deeply religious and believed passionately in Liberty! What is wrong with that?

And they believed that the Constitution was a profound document, that had Real parameters. This fallacy that the Left fosters, that the Constitution is a "Living, Breathing" document, is pure baloney and tailored only for their intent to manipulate it. I will give you a good example. If you like poker, bridge, chess, or even football, would you like to play any of them with "living" rules, or rules that were fixed? Enough said here.

It would be more than wise for the citizens of this country to spend more time studying our Founders. Then perhaps we may not be in the squabble we are currently in.

I highly recommend that you go and read The ReJeffersonization of America, By James Pinkerton. It is a great article looking from the future, and shows just how the IT revolution is changing the nation back to the very concept that Jefferson envisioned. It is a must read if you are interested in "trend lines".

I read the article, and I found it very thought-provoking. I have always thought that the more self-reliant people are, the less they will need government. Interesting to see how the IT technology is helping people do things on their own.

I read through the whole article thinking that he made up the term VoIP. Then I looked it up on How Stuff Works. laugh.gif

Predicting Clinton in '08? Honestly Pinkerton.... rolleyes.gif

I read the article, but, as a bit of a techie, thgought it was rather shortsighted. AMong other things, future prediction is, well, not predictable. BEsides, there are a heck of a lot more technological advances just on the horizon that will change things far more.

Besides - There is an entire physical side thats unadressed - such as, delivering groceries, that he didn't consider. Then, of course, there is the increadsing *urbanization* thats going on now...

Also, I felt that his political beliefs guided the contents of the story more than anything else. The implied moral values he placed on things.

I agreed with some of his ideology, though, but still found the article to be an editorial, not a tech article.

Nice try OsMan. Actually, I have never lived in a 'trailor'. Perhaps you are relating your own experience to that of others.

Besides, what is wrong with living in a trailor? Sure beats many of the buildings YOUR relatives live in in Turkey. Trailors are not earthquake prone, and they are constructed in a factory, not by corrupt builders. Perhaps you should think about that.

he is too much fun. As I mentioned earlier, he has "Black Knight Syndrome". laugh.gif Who can resist something such as that?

Besides, I have some pity for the poor bugger. He was ousted on my home forum, a no vote of 3 out of four founders, and I miss this rambling comedian. smile.gif As I stated earlier, he is a gold mine to Phil. He attracts responses. What more can you ask for from just one poster. Only TQ does better.
