Of course. The Uk (toilet) papers have the highest standard of journalistic integrity.

I'm not sure about the point of your post Phil. Are you saying US soldiers don't shoot Iraqi civilians when they panic? Or are you saying the Independent is fabricating false news? Please elaborate.

Chuck, read the article and then compare it to the typical British sensationalism of the title. Then ask Phil again, ok?

Time you learned some manners. You can always PM Phil the answer like you do with the others.

The Independent article struck me as well written and factual. I think you only call it 'sensationalist' because you don't want to deal with the reality of panicking US soldiers blazing away at Iraqi civilians. Neither does Phil apparently.

sigh.

Im not even going to bother.

Go back and reread my post. I said, "sensationalism of the title", not the article.

Oh my so you did. That is a very subtle distinction indeed. If that's the best you can come up with I think I'll wait for Phil.

Here is a brief recap in case John.L succeeds in changing the subject: US soldiers are accused of panicking and shooting Iraqi civilians.

Another one! What is this a tag team?

Here I'll help you out. The best approach is to say the Iraqi civilians shouldn't have been hanging around or driving cars near US troops. If that doesn't work just say they were probably terrorists anyway. You could go further and say they're just a bunch of ***** ragheads but you guys are too subtle for that.

C.Woww, my friend, US soldiers do not "panic". They have enlisted and have been trained very well for what they do. This is war. There will be civilian casualities. However those minimal casualities are directly attributable to the scum that perpetuate the insurgency. Please note that in recent days and months for that matter these scumbags have killed far more Iraqis then they have Americans.

Your 2nd question......

Yes I figured the Iraqis would be to blame. But it's nice to see there is still an independent media somewhere. When did I become your friend or is that just a figure of speech?

And why would you put the Telegraph on the list of UK papers lacking integrity? Isn't that one of Hollinger's? Or did they get bought by Barcly Bros?

Yes I suppose that is a nice open philosphy. Kinda like car salesmen. It usually takes me a long time before I call strangers friends.

A Grizzly Bear!!! Whoopee. Do I get a sticker for my lunch box?
