Syrian soldiers leave Lebanon

By Mitchell Prothero
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

MASNAA, Lebanon -- Syria ended its nearly 30-year occupation of Lebanon yesterday, pulling its last 250 soldiers across the border after an upbeat ceremony that glossed over the tensions between the two neighbors.

what u define as freedom - just for the sake of checking your OWN understanding / opinion ?
Ben-T
I think it's pretty clear what he meant.

Lebanon had been a democratic nation that was having a civil war. During the Arab-Israeli wars, Totalitarian Syria invaded Israel through Lebanon. After promptly being defeated, Syria refused to leave Lebanon, and instead of respecting the wishes of the people of Lebanon, Syria installed a Puppet Government, and proceeded to occupy it for a course of decades. Syria has now left Lebanon, and the will of the Lebanese people will once again be in charge of Lebanese government.

Obviously it is a victory for freedom.

I now predict that you will make an attempt to link this subject with the US invasion and subsequent occupation of Iraq. Should you do so, I eagerly await what will invariably be you're total failure.

Just a friendly warning.

biggrin.gif in asking HIM this Q I am interested to know what HE Thinks - not you. coz so far it appears he thinks rarely - only keeps making new threads without any replies, even from his own fellows - all those "cronies" and "wennies"

that he keeps quite and instead you are making an attempt to advocate him - not gives him much credit....

It is in the asking of this of this self evident meaning, Razin my kind sir, that you reveal the veritable disposition of capacity from which you see the world’s realities.

As an ancient philosopher once said

Only the educated are free. Epictetus (55 AD - 135 AD)

That is all!
