By Audrey Hudson
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

White House Chief of Staff Andrew H. Card Jr. yesterday outlined the administration's second-term agenda and said President Bush is "actually producing a lot of positive momentum for Congress to consider" his legislative proposals despite Democratic opposition.

Funny, that his POLL numbers are in the toilet.
I read a recent analysis that rings true, the voters didn't like Kerry or bush, they just didn't like Kerry a little bit more.

hmmmm, strange ! I always had an impression that Bush is a champion of promoting Democracy in the world !

as well as very fond of democratic ideas :

QUOTE
Natan Sharansky, the Soviet dissident and a leader of Russian Jews in Israel, has resigned from the Israeli government over its plans to withdraw from Gaza.
Within Israeli politics, he has been a largely peripheral figure in recent years.

But a book of his, The Case for Democracy (co-written with Ron Dermer), has had a major influence on US President George W Bush.

President Bush devoted a significant proportion of his second inaugural address to ideas derived from the book and has been recommending it widely....

why then he has Democratic opposition ? may be they are not true Democrats then ? blink.gif

GOP, You don't need to capitalize one or two words in every sentence you make, hehe.

I'll be back if this conversation turns into anything of substance.

Yet another reason why he such a great President, he actually stands up for what he believes and isn't swayed by totally irrelevant poll numbers.

Well, that is all very well, but how great is a president who has just SQUANDERED all of his supposed political capital on a BIG LOSER.
He is not going to get what he wants.
So he is not great.
He is a stupid failure, but we knew that already.

Wrong again, the commenazi obstructionists you worship have made it very clear that they have NO plan now or EVER to fix the SS problem. So whatever solution does come about, it will have the face of Bush and the GOP on it. He has already received credit for tackling a problem that other Presidents like Clinton were terrified to tocuh.
