A Steak Dinner Could Cook Hillary

Ted Kennedy's brother-in-law could send the Dems' favorite '08 hopeful the way of Martha Stewart.

The Justice Department case against David Rosen, national finance chairman of Hillary Clinton's 2000 Senate race, is getting stronger, increasing the odds the aide will start cooperating with the government — which could be disastrous for the senator's ambitions.

Rosen has been indicted for deliberately reporting that the cost of an August 2000 Hollywood fund-raising gala was only $400,000 when the actual tab was $1.2 million — a step that let Mrs. Clinton spend $800,000 more in "hard money" for her campaign. (After Hillary and opponent Rick Lazio agreed to ban soft money, both camps were scrambling to maximize their hard money on hand).

No tears shed here! laugh.gif

Yeah, that is a nice CONSERVATIVE web site that is reporting that story. wink.gif rolleyes.gif

I found some more news about this:

Conservative group seeks probe of Sen. Clinton's Hollywood fundraiser
A history of dogging Clintons  *underlining and bold print by Grizzly*

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A conservative watchdog group with a history of dogging the Clintons urged a Senate panel on Monday to investigate Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton over a Hollywood fundraiser for which a former staffer faces charges.

The Clintons have been fair game for along time! laugh.gif Where's the "Beef"?
One thing for sure I doubt Hillary will be underestimated. I would be a mistake to do so. She is a very dangerous "beech".

The best thing that ever happened to Rush Limbaugh were the Clintons. 8 years of "billary" made his career.

I guess the Clintons must have been pretty rough on poor Rush in order for him to wind up like this! rolleyes.gif

Limbaugh Faces Drug Allegations

Friday, October 03, 2003

NEW YORK  — Political commentator Rush Limbaugh (search) could become the target of a criminal probe into the sale and use of illegal drugs, sources told Fox News on Thursday.

Limbaugh, who quit his job as a football analyst for ESPN late Wednesday, had multiple sources from whom he could obtain the prescription drugs, namely OxyContin (search) and other painkillers, law enforcement sources said.

Reports in the New York Daily News and the National Enquirer alleged Limbaugh got the drugs from his housekeeper, Wilma Cline (search). But sources close to the investigation told Fox News that Limbaugh had other drug suppliers and said the popular conservative personality could face a criminal inquiry by the Palm Beach County (search) state attorney's office.

ACLU Comes to Rush Limbaugh's Defense

Monday, January 12, 2004

By Catherine Donaldson-Evans

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Talk radio host Rush Limbaugh (search) probably never expected the American Civil Liberties Union (search) to become one of his staunch supporters.

But the privacy rights group was on his side Monday when its Florida branch filed a "friend-of-court" motion on behalf of Limbaugh arguing state officials were wrong in seizing his medical records for their drug probe.

"For many people, it may seem odd that the ACLU has come to the defense of Rush Limbaugh," ACLU of Florida Executive Director Howard Simon said in a released statement.

I don't know! I think that it will be too ridiculous to hear Rush Limbaugh cut down on the ACLU from now on! laugh.gif

It wasn't so much a conservative web site as the author of the piece - Dick Morris!
He may have an ax or two to grind with the Clintons but in reality, he's seen the light. Seen 'em as the trailor-trash they are... dry.gif

Well, Boon Mee, perhaps this National Review article should be taken under consideration? Don't know if that gentleman (Mr. Morris) is telling the truth about that story or not, but you can tell that there was some sort of bitterness between him (Mr. Morris) and the Clintons.

Something else in that article:

QUOTE ( from that aforementioned article)
Dick Morris, an adviser to Bill Clinton for 20 years, is author, most recently, of Off with Their Heads : Traitors, Crooks & Obstructionists in American Politics, Media & Business.
Note: underlining is mine.

If what you say is true -- which I find hard to believe because I think that they (Mr. Morris and the Clintons) had some kind of irreconcilable differences -- perhaps Mr. Morris lives in the same trailer park. wink.gif

You're right, Grizzley, there must have been something very significant develop between the Clintons and Morris for him (Morris) to "go off" them as he has. That's why I said in my previous post he's got an ax or two to grind here.

Maybe something along the lines of the Newt Gingrich meltdown? I've never completely understood the underpinings, as it were, why Newt lost his Speaker's job. Something to do with the House Ethic Committee investigation...? unsure.gif
