After 5 years from the looney left screaming about election fraud we might finally have a charge with some merit. MARK

King County's absentee-ballot supervisor has testified that she collaborated with her boss when she filled out a report that falsely showed all ballots were accounted for in the November election.

Nicole Way said in a deposition Friday that she and assistant elections superintendent Garth Fell agreed to the misleading report because officials didn't know how many absentee ballots were returned by voters............

I would be thrilled if it just gets us thru at least one election cycle without the looney left crying about stolen elections MARK

Did not the Democratic Governor win by only 129 votes out of 2.9 million!

She lost by 261, then she lost by 42, then she won by 129. They didnt have the hanging chads to hunt for this time but Im sure any election method there are enough votes to be found or disqualified in a close election. And if that fails you can always find a judge to change the rules in the middle of the game. MARK

No thoughts from anyone on the left? I assume expat condemns voter fraud in all cases, but he is more moderate. I don't know about the others.

Hint: If you on the left want to make yourself look really good, you can just post "I don't like what happened here!" wink.gif

Not to bring water back over the dam or any thing, but...

I seriously believe after hearing this gentleman say this:

Voting Machine Controversy
by Julie Carr Smyth

COLUMBUS - The head of a company vying to sell voting machines in Ohio told Republicans in a recent fund-raising letter that he is "committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year."

The Aug. 14 letter from Walden O'Dell, chief executive of Diebold Inc. - who has become active in the re-election effort of President Bush - prompted Democrats this week to question the propriety of allowing O'Dell's company to calculate votes in the 2004 presidential election.

O'Dell attended a strategy pow-wow with wealthy Bush benefactors - known as Rangers and Pioneers - at the president's Crawford, Texas, ranch earlier this month. The next week, he penned invitations to a $1,000-a-plate fund-raiser to benefit the Ohio Republican Party's federal campaign fund - partially benefiting Bush - at his mansion in the Columbus suburb of Upper Arlington.

This should've been looked into more -- before allowing this to go down. There was most definetly an interest there!

Oh yeah. If anyone is caught messing with votes in this country, and they are found guilty as charged? So be it! 019.gif

I guess that was a luke-warm condemnation of the issue. Thank you Grizzly.

As to your first post, I would like to find the entire letter. I can easily see how context could make that mean anything. For example:

"The Ohio voters don't want hanging chads! They want to vote for President Bush! I am committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes to the president next year!!!" 027.gif

But, I think the Diebold machines should be looked into.
expat
Actually, dkward2, I was about to denouce the report as a right-wing conspiracy tongue.gif hahaha

But I am stumped why people like dixon can grandstand this, but look at Diebold, and go - "Well, at least he agrees with me, so no problem."

Large payments from Diebold are fueling influence-peddling for a $45 million Cook County/Chicago voting machine contract. Diebold has been lobbying both Ohio and Cook County/Chicago through a small corporation called ACG Group LLC, formed by a Republican and two well-connected Democrats. According to one of ACGs partners, Diebold is making payments directly to the individuals and payments are also flowing through ACG. These payments are then paid out to others. ... More

4-18-2005: Diebold Lobbyist Documents Reveal Problems
by Bev Harris & Kathleen Wynne

Black Box Voting has obtained check stubs showing that Diebold Election Systems appears to have misreported its lobbying fees to Rose & Kindel.

Black Box Voting Director Jim March met privately last week with staffers for new California Secretary of State Bruce McPherson, to provide these documents and urge McPherson to remove new appointee Adan Ortega Jr. due to conflict of interest.

Ortega has been a senior communications executive at Rose & Kindel. The ... More

3-8-2005: Hack of Real-Life Voting System Demonstrated
by Bev Harris & Kathleen Wynne

TUESDAY MAR. 8, 2005: Investigation Update (Submitted to members of the House Judiciary Committee on Mar. 4 and Mar. 8.)

In mid-February, Black Box Voting, together with computer experts and videographers, under the supervision of appropriate officials, proved that a real Diebold system can be hacked.

This was not theoretical or a "potential" vulnerability. Votes were hacked on a real system in a real location using the actual setup used on Election Day, N... More
