How sweet it is! Spent all of his political capital on a BIG SMELLY LOSER! Maybe the damage from bush can still be minimized, looking forward to the midterm elections!
Last time I check Congress won't be voting on this issue until midway through 2006.
I've no idea where these Republicans got the idea that they were going to be voting on this this year, when Bush hasn't even issued his official proposal to Congress yet.

Sounds like good politics to prep the citizens for some time before bringing up the subject for change. TQ, I see that more than 53% are in favour of privatizing SS. Just think, by 2006, when things really start to rolling, all the screaming and accusations just might be overrun. I'm sure that that will make your day, like last November, right?

TQ, check the latest thread I just started showing that 53% of likely voters are not for private accounts. If the question is asked in a neutral manner, the outcome is different from what your Collectivist buddies wish.
You are dreaming. Even republican leaders are conceding bush has lost on the private account issue. There probably will some tweaking reform, such as raising the minimum age to receive any benefits and/or the minimum to age to get full benefits. I also expect there to be a raising of the cap for rich people.

There is no evidence whatsoever that the American people are clamoring for bush's private account scam scheme or that it is gaining support in the house and senate. AINT GONNA HAPPEN!
