How can you justify the don't ask, don't tell policy?

I agree, Bill Clinton is to blame for the don't ask, don't tell policy.
However, Clinton did want to completely life the ban, but the military and public opinion wasn't ready for it, so this was the best compromise he could come up with.
It is still better than nothing, but stories of war heroes being booted based on this policy are important to be heard to open up the military to all, including wanna be war hero Gop 4 Life!
Calling volunteers suckers is kind of rude. In most cases, face reality though, it is not about patriotism, it is more about being lured by the benefits offered by the pr campaigns, when weighed against the altneratives these mostly UNDERCLASS youth have.
As bad as this is, it is still better than a draft.
