Full Version: Who should we nominate for Pres. in '08?
Political Topics And Discussion > All Things Political > 2008 US Presidential Campaign
Gop 4 life!
I'm sticking with my siggy. J.C. Watts is a competent, compassionate, courageous, intelligent, MORE FISCALLY CONSERVATIVE, (a welcomed change), and strong on foreign policy (neo-con).

By 2008 Martinez will have been in office for 4 years and will have the experience in U.S. politics neccessary to make a great V.P. He has already proven himself in my book with all the good he has done has HUD Secertary.

This nomination would also continue of our our great party's finest traditions, empowering minorities in our government and giving them bigger voices and more recognition.

I think that it should be John McCain for the GOP ticket! smile.gif

Apparently being a WASP discludes you from having a fine tradition.

Carry on, my racist, hatemongering pal.

Maybe it was something about Republican Abraham Lincoln freeing the slaves?

62% of senators who voted for LBJ's anti-segregation legislature being Republicans?

Johnshon himself, btw, was later quoted as saying "This will keep them niggers voting Democrat for a hundred years!"

Republican presidential nominee Barry Goldwater being co-founder of the Arizona NAACP, intrumental in the de-segregation of the Arizona National Guard, and a hard line supporter of the anti-segregation acts of 1957 and 1960?

Of Republian President Bush having two black Secretaries of State in succession?

What is this about the GOP hating minorities again?

Name one reason why that can not change?

Like not all liberals are clamoring idoits and fools nor are all conservatives redneck, racist and stupid. Life is changing and WASPS are no more alike than you and I are alike. So why not if that is the course it should take? 010.gif

I should have said a MALE WASP, sorry for the ommission.

I feel that Ms Condoleezza Rice would be a very strong player. Think about it for a while and you will "grock" that it is the perfect "avant garde" next step for the GOP to make. You may allienate a few of the old wasps out there but they are all but in their graves already.
Great Britain already had Margaret Thatcher. America is ready for Condoleezza Rice. Dang I think it's good idea! "Black is beautifull" biggrin.gif

Condi does have some appeal and I think there is still a mystery aspect of her that makes her interesting.
However, I do truly believe that after 8 years of being punished by the radical right wing bush regime, the people will be majorly ready for a pendulum swing AWAY, far away.
So Condi will be associated with bush and even if nominated, will lose.
Maybe later.
Ben-T
They were majorly ready for a pendulum swing AWAY in 2004 as well, or so you said.

Keep dreaming.

Condi Rice is the best choice for our next president. Look on the internet and see all her accomplishments. Just the titles she has held during her lifetime covers a good sized paragraph!

She is intelligent, sharp witted, can think on her feet, compassionate, and above all she is a conservative.

And TQ, the fact that the Dems put Dean as the head of their party is the best evidence they have a political death wish. Ranting and raving has never won an election.

Goodness, the liberals don't even have a plan except to say they have a plan. What is the plan? To say the "F-word" in a microphone like John F-ing Kerry? That is the most interesting thing to come out of the leftist camp in a looooong time.

But its not a plan. I think they won't tell us their plan (IF they even have one) because they know Americans will hate it, and view it as a socialist take-over.

Keep on ranting TQ, you are just like the leftist Dems.

Consider a few points. Since the 1960's to the late 1990's liberals had most of the control of the legislative branch. Under their "reign" they PROFESSED they wanted to improve:
1. education
2. crime rate
3. economy
4. foreign relations
5. living conditions of the poor

By using leftist/liberal tactics, our nation now has:

1. One of the worse education systems in the developed world
2. A much worse crime rate
3. A struggling economy (according to them, even!)
4. We have been poo-pooed since the 1960's by the those noodle-spined Europeans and attacked by the Arabs.
5. The gap between the rich and poor is wider.

So, now we have tried things your way, TQ, and IT DIDN"T WORK! It's time for us to use our brains and throw out what hasn't worked and use what used to work before your kind got in power.

A truism: A sign of insanity is doing the same thing over and over while expecting different results.

That is the liberal mob in a nutshell...
