Good 'ol Hillary. For the little man; a Democrats Democrat; championing the causes of the down-trodden........

Pro-Union?

Well, not exactly. Guess who served for SIX YEARS on the board of Wal-Mart??? Yes, the very same Wal-Mart who doesn't allow its employees to form unions, and who the Left hates.

Incredible, Democrats don't even check the background of the people they give adulation. They just swallow everything they are told as long as the person has a D after their name.

Do I smell hypocrisy? You betcha. She made lots of money doing the very thing she now says is disgraceful. She wants to stop people from using capitalism to make money; even though I'm sure she made tons.

Her hypocrisy continues to seem boundless...

I hope everyone on this board that loves Hillary Clinton while hating Wal-Mart has a fit over this.

Happy Fitting.

QUOTE ( village voice)
According to published reports, she was placed in charge of the company's "green" program to protect the environment.

Maybe that explains why?

Oh! And I got to love this part! laugh.gif

QUOTE ( village voice)
They do describe her as a "corporate litigator" in those days, and they *mention, speaking of environmental matters, that she also served on the board of Lafarge, a company that, according to a press account, once burned hazardous fuels to run its cement plants.
*Boldness is mine

Sounds like two neighbor ladies talking on the phone! laugh.gif

Oh, and it seems to me that you have to get people employed and eating in Arkansas before you can even start to improve their lives, dkward2.

Hillary is a two-faced tool?

Wow... thanks for that newsflash. rolleyes.gif

hahahaha TOT .... well put.

It is incredible what people overlook because of political affiliation.

For example, GWB has connections to people like Sheikh Abdullah Bahksh and his front man Talat Othman. This is a fellow who had acces to the White house during GB Sr.

He was also a major investor in BCCI.

(the world's worst financial scandal, bck in '91 they were taken down for money laundering, drug running, arms dealing, helping Iran/Pakistan with their nuke programs, etc .. but most of all for political bribery)

He also was quite possibly the one responsible for Harken Energy, a small oil company with no resources and no relevant experience, beating out Unocal for drilling rights in Bahrain.

Is that worse than sitting on the baord of Wal-Mart? Yes. Do people overlook it? Yes.

But - thats just one thing, you might say. He does have plausible deniability here ... If you ignore his photographic memory and his fathers acces and use of relevant intelligence.

But wait - theres more! Then there is Kamal Adham- BCCI's front man in the U.S. He was also the head of intelligence for Saudi Arabia during the time George Bush Sr. was Director of the CIA.

Don't forget the man who started GWB off in business .. James R. Bath. He gave GWB his start up money for Arbusto Energy. Bath was also an investor in BCCI.

Check out a few of the congressional reports on BCCI
http://www.fas.org/spp/starwars/congress/1992/index.html

BCCI also helped with the money laundering in the Iran-Contra affair, btw, Where Bush Sr. et al illegally sold weapons to Iran. They used BCCI to launder the money frmo those arms sales.

I gotta run now, but there is more - a lot more. Like GWB selling 10 percent of Arbusto, when it was valued at about $350,000, for $10,000,000. Thats right after his dad became the VP, btw.

Then there is the 25 million sweetheart loan from BCCI ... get this ... while they were under investigation! I swear, you honor, I didn't know anything! If I had any clue that my busniess partners were involved in criminal activity I never would have done business with them!

Plausible deniability, yes. BUT his Dad knew about them, for sure. And W. had a photographc memory.
Gop 4 life!

The embarassing secrets just keep coming.

I agree, it was a most-excellent reply TOT.

Expat:

tsk tsk, this topic is about Hillary, not Bush. We have discussed Bush, and will again I'm sure, in other topics.

However, what I was expecting was a reply like Grizzly's, and to that I'd like to respond in a little more detail.

Grizzly:

Before your jump to make excuses for Hillary, realize that if she was sincere about her pro-union stance, she would not have been PAID for 6 years by a company infamous for its anti-union policies.

The only position she could have filled that would not have been hypocritical, was a position in charge of forming unions throughout the chain of storea. Assuming the role as the company's collective bargaining representative would have also been acceptable.

If George Bush had been paid by Hamas, even if it was to help them be more environmentally friendly, you would be sh|tting your pants.

At least fake a turtle head at this…
expat
Speaknig of GWB getting paid by Hamas .... He has gotten some pretty interesting business deals with people involved with illicit arms dealing to terrorist groups and nations. Not Hamas, per se, though.
dkward2
That is very interesting, and disturbing. HOWEVER! Expat this is a topic about Hillary.

Please respond to Hillary, not GWB. I can openly say that I don't like the fact that there are a lot of scandals revolving around Bush.

That is not the topic of this thread.
expat
Well, you brought up Hamas and all .... And when I start threads about BCCI and Bush they generally end up ignored.

In addition, I generally find one sided condemnations ... such as those who despise Gengrich for serving his wife divorce papers in an untimely fashion but overlook Clinton's own affair.

That being said, you are right, the tpoic is about Hilary in particular and not unsavory behavior in general. Sorry.
