So did you catch the Bush speech with the "plan" for Iraq?

So the US is handing over soveriegnty to Iraqis, but this supposed sovereign government is prohibited from kicking out the occupying US army? Do you seriously think that can honestly be called sovereignty?

Also, and most tellingly. The speech was at the ARMY WAR COLLEGE in the commonwealth of Pennsylvania. There were many, many, speech pauses for applause.

However, the applause only occurred SIX TIMES. From this crowd! As Gen Zinni said, this was a war (Iraq) the generals never wanted nor did they think it was necessary.

It is only fair that Bush PAY for the mistake of going to Iraq in the first place. He must be soundly FIRED.

Here is a good analysis of how very underwhelming the speech was:

Is he the foirst President in US history to lose the confidence of the armed forces ?

If he does get re-elected is there any chance of a military coup ?

At the present rate of decline, GWB's approval rating should be about 10 % by November.

Y'all are living in a dream world, Losing the confidence of the military. Military coup. Approval rating down to 10%. Sounds like a lot of wishful thinkin' goin' on here! laugh.gif

Gop 4 life!
What a lovely analysis from the radical left, NOT.

As usual, he did a fine job, he was clear, re-assuring, and articulate.

His approval rating will continue to go up and as Iraq becomes more and more stable, Kerry will have nothing at all to talk about.

He'll have to resort to using CHILDISH INSULTS LIKE HE HAS BEEN DOING.
