QUOTE (The Anti-Monarchy Rebel @ Dec 13 2005, 12:12 AM)
You talk as if i never been on any forums in my life and that i do not know how to behave and i never been banned by any other forums except for thailand forum. You are kidding me. You made me sick. Stop posting!!! Your comments are not good to anyone and not good to this topic. I also sent an email to a moderator, admininistrator about this forum. I will not reply anymore. This is it.
I am not sure who this anti-monarchist is. Or why he assumes he knows anything about the King of Thailand and his family or how the Thai people feel about their King.
I assure this. Having been back and forth nearly yearly since I Married my Chinese Thai wife who graduated with me at our University, I unquestionable belief, the King and his wife are very honorable people, who care devotedly about their countrymen.
I have seen it first hand in many ways over these 27 years. Three of my wife’s sisters got both their Undergraduate and Graduate degrees from his very hands. Two of my Nieces have as well.
Our friend appears to lacks an obvious understanding that any western measure of how the Thai people feel about their King is NO measure at all.
Particularly the fact that it is in debasing the King while in Thailand possibly deadly, not to mention illegal to in any way degrade or to debase the King or his family in Thailand.
As such, the Thai Forum's this anti-monarchist came from, to which he seems to know less about than the King of Thailand, is a forum that originates in ownership from Thailand. The owner, George, though using servers in Hong Kong, lives there and being based there, is subject to those laws. If one read the forum rules, up front, they would know, any degradation of the King of Thailand was automatic reason for permanently being banned.
I would suggest for anyone who would have the intellectual curiosity to examine the King of Thailand's relationship to effect the affairs of this Republican Parliamentary Democracy that is of Thai originality and idiosyncrasies not applicable opt should be to some other measure of Farang rational.
If they would examine the PM of Thailand, the most powerful in many years, tactical reaction, after recently been attacked with political allegations by various media sources they would see that he responded by taking legal actions to in join and shut down legally those attacks via cease a and desist rulings pending the trail.
Yet, but with one sentence, in a speech on another topic, the King implied indirectly the PM should accept criticism and defend himself through the Democratic process. The next day the PM dropped the legal actions and media sources have now not been silenced.
Likewise, the King of Thailand was technically, before his ascension to the thrown, a United States Citizen by the fact he was born here. He and his wife were educated in the United States, at Harvard, if I am not mistaken. He also has at least One daughter who gave up her royal status to marry an American and is a US citizen. Many relatives have attended Universities throughout the country.
I would also remind our Friend that a King Rama IV I believe, being a great admirer of Lincoln, offered to send him War Elephants to assist him in the Civil War.
Beyond that, Thai for Thai is what it is, Thai, not farang, though sadly more corrupted by its disrespectful decadent amorality seeming represented by our new friend each year.
