Perhaps even Sen. John Kerry is beginning to sense the total lack of enthusiasm for his candidacy. Kerry seemed alarmed by the complete absence of applause, or other audience interaction, he was receiving from a small crowd in Tampa, Florida, on Wednesday.

Kerry was there to accept the endorsement of a national union of emergency first responders, and to hold a "conversation" with local residents about his plans for protecting the nation from bio-terror attacks.

On several occasions, Kerry paused, seemingly expecting applause for his lines. For example, at one point he said, "I will do what I think is best for the country," then waited for applause that only developed after one of his advance staffers began leading a weak round of applause.

His lukewarm reception was so bad that Kerry lost his cool, telling his audience, "I know you don't want to be here anymore."

"That line actually generated more real cheers," says a bemused Florida Democratic Party official. "If this is the kind of response our campaign is getting elsewhere, we're dead. This was awful. He was awful. laugh.gif

Ah yes, despite all the the radical left's untrue vicious slander, the liberal media's extreme bias on Iraq and here at home, and evil incarnate anti-American socialists money, everything is falling in place for our boy Boon.

Iraq is now rapidly stabilizing, the economy is full throtle, and he is on the right side of the culture wars.

It will be amusing to see how DESPERATE he and his campaign will become over the next few weeks and months.

Agreed, but the only downside, if you can call it that, is our opposition on this fine forum will have to tuck their tails and scuttle back to their ivory tower jobs...and deal w/GWB for four more years! laugh.gif

Hi Folks.
Yes it is an interesting little piece in the American Spectator. I read it earlier today, and truth be told, it is simply beyond belief for Anyone to think that John Kerry isn't boring to the Max~! If a lot of Democrats would rather watch the grass grow than listen to someone not only look French, but act like one also, then even less of the rest of us are going to invest the spare time paying attention to him.

All seriousness asside(!), it is going to be interesting to see how the debates come out. One thing is certain. GW is more than capable of using self-depricating humour, and he can bring out a good laugh from the crowds. I will be watching to see how JFK "the lesser" is going to torture the crowds with his lighter side of things.

Or am I speaking about another oxymoron here? huh.gif

I have to agree about Kerry. He does look a trifle Gallic and he makes Dubya seem like the essence of wit. Scary really to think that the future of humanity depends on things like that...and hanging chads of course. smile.gif
