Full Version: The Enemy Within
Political Topics And Discussion > All Things Political > US Presidential Campaign 2004
Boon Mee
A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself.

For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murder is less to fear.
----Marcus Tullius Cicero
Roman orator, statesman 42 B.C

Gop 4 life!
Excellent, ANYONE WHO VOTES FOR THIS TRAITOR EITHER HATES THIS COUNTRY OR IS THE EPITOME OF UNINFORMED.

Come On Guys,

The Poodle is certainly NOT a traitor here! An exploitive jigiloist, for certain. Person without strong and unwavering convictions: absolutely. But a traitor? I would expect this sort of thing from Thaiquila. You don't have to play nice: just be civil and play honest here, ok? wink.gif tongue.gif

PS: Remember that I get on the Left for allowing their emotions to take precidence over their logic, which is why they are Leftists. So, we on the Right need to not allow our emotions to do same to our thinking.

How about a wishy-washy twerp with mildly traitorous tendencies? Is that OK? huh.gif

John L.

I was referring to Kerry betraying his fellow VietNam Vets when using the term "traitor". Perhaps a bit strong to use in general terms.

But not totally outrageous either. blink.gif

Kerry's Own People Think He's a Dud.

Antonio Villagrosa, Kerry's National Latino Co-Chair says no one is excited about Kerry. Villagrosa is the former LA Mayoral Candidate who begged Clinton to pardon a bigtime convicted drug dealer Carlos Vignali, whose father was a big supporter of Villagrosa... dry.gif

The New York Times tries to humanize Kerry but they succeed in making him a bigger dope than everybody thought. According to them he's "mulitsyllabic" - whatever that implies... dry.gif

I committed the same kinds of atrocities as thousands of others in that I shot in free fire zones, used harassment and interdiction fire, joined in search and destroy missions, and burned villages. All of these acts were established policies from the top down, and the men who ordered this are war criminals." John Kerry April 1971 from William Fullbright's Senate Foreign Relations Committee

Gee, John.....doesn't that make you a war criminal as well???

Here is another article that is related to "the enemy within". Peter Worthington , in the Toronto Star, shows how Truth Loses In Iraq War.
He concludes with
QUOTE
In the two years since 9/11, Bush has liberated two countries. Crushed the Taliban. Crippled al-Qaida. Put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran and North Korea without firing a shot and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people.

The Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking, but it took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno to take the Branch Davidian compound -- a 51-day operation.

We've been looking for evidence of chemical weapons in Iraq for less time that it took Hillary Clinton to find the Rose law firm billing records.

It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick.

It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida.

From this perspective, President Bush as commander-in-chief is doing a great job, with military morale high.

Some people just don't see all the facts

For those not to realize this, they must be either intellectually lazy, or intellectually dishonest. Most probably fit in the second category, AND that makes them an enemy from within when it undermines our attempt to defeat world terrorism. And I am referring to the goals, not necessarily the process.
