An article that I would normally blow off, but because of the decent history of its source I had to read. There is much speculation and it seems the authors argument is based upon some economic decisions and agreements and he states that the unfettered acceptance of illegals via amnesty is part of this North American Union government. Frankly, there are many flaws with this theory and very little real world evidence I can find that I would consider valid enough to provide some sort of a barometer for this "move." However, the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America is a very sketchy and unregulated entity that is not under review and control of the people. It is pretty freightening. I am not sure about the push towards a North American Union government, that seems a little out there to me, but it is safe to say that this move matches Bush's internationalist/socialist behavior as of late.
What say you?

North American Union Already Starting to Replace USA

by Jerome R. Corsi
Posted May 30, 2006

In March 2005 at their summit meeting in Waco, Tex., President Bush, President Fox and Prime Minister Martin issued a joint statement announced the creation of the “Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America” (SPP). The creation of this new agreement was never submitted to Congress for debate and decision. Instead, the U.S. Department of Commerce merely created a new division under the same title to implement working groups to advance a North American Union working agenda in a wide range of areas, including: manufactured goods, movement of goods, energy, environment, e-commerce, financial services, business facilitation, food and agriculture, transportation, and health.

SPP is headed by three top cabinet level officers of each country. Representing the United States are Secretary of Commerce Carlos

The Zapatista Revolution began in southernmost Mexico on an auspicious date, although partly by coincidence: January 1, 1994, was the effective date of the first stage of the 8-year NAFTA. It's a trade agreement between Canada, USA, and Mexico. While they only fought a rebellion on the field for eleven days, the Zapatista organizations have been an enemy of NAFTA ever since, and an enemy of globalizaiton and neo-liberalist economics.

The Northern Hemisphere contains ten republics in a row, on the mainland, not counting island countries in the Caribbean. Three of those republics agreed to make an almost tarriff-free alliance, and the 8 years ended December 31, 2001. I don't know if NAFTA has been extended or replaced, but it has its own "international court." Phil Gramm, US Senator with a Ph.D. in economics, stood on the senate floor during the debate on allowing Mexican trucks into Texas, his state. Dr. Phil raised the NAFTA treaty in his left hand and said, "Gentlemen, we've already given away the store; it's too late."

This relates to immigration, of course, across the southern borders of the USA. Our president and Congress should pressure their counterparts in Mexico to change conditions in Mexico, to stop the flood of people who cannot get proper education and employment in their home country. When the power elites of Latin American countries realize they are cutting their own throats by letting their most ambitious citizens escape north, conditions may change.

I sat on the northern coast of South American on New Years Eve, 2002, with rich, liberal, well educated Venezuelans. I told them, politely, that any country that refused to give all its residents a free education up to age 16, for several decades, did not deserve to be a part of the 21st century, and the rich people's grandchildren would not have a work force left that they could profit from. What they got......is....Hugo Chavez.
