...W can't be re-elected. Dagnabit, who are we going to find on our side?

Go Bush JR. ! Go Bush Jr.! Go Bush Jr!

Frankly, he is such a historic failure, I really don't think W would run again even if he could. I think anyone who would want him back is certifiably insane. The man has clearly lost interest in his hobby job (leader of the "free" world) just like all his other hobby jobs during his so called adult life. He has deep psychological problems (he is a dry alcoholic) and he has imposed his poison on the world. Good riddance for bad rubbish.

Just like Harry Truman, who left office with approval ratings in the 20% range.

Man, what a failure that guy was!

Just for the record, I don't think it was right to bomb Hiroshima OR Nagasaki. It's a perfect example of Americans abusing their abilities.

And what would you have rather seen, you adolescent genious? Would over 2 million US casualties, and perhaps as much as 5 million Japanese casualties have been better, had the invasion of the Japanese islands gone down? Would it be better to prolong the conflict for months longer, with billions of dollars more damage to the Japanese infrastructure?

In case your young and brilliant mind has overlooked this, the infrastructure of Japan was pretty much intact with the peace treaty. The US did not destroy the intustrial potential, and Japan was able to rebuild itself relatively quickly as a result. Did you not know this? rolleyes.gif

If you consider that abuse, perhaps you have some relatives, who may have been part of those casaulties. ....................Oh, I forgot, you are a Kraut, and your parents immigrated AFTER the war, so you have no family members in this fight.

You are just "involved" rather than "committed", right?

020.gif What do you hope to gain by insulting his intelligence? Do you hope he will bow down in the face repetitive insults? What an honest way to win! And you are wrong to think that we needed to bomb innocent civilians the way we did. But you don't care about them Japs', huh (and if you do you are an America hater)?

I'm not insulting his intelligence. What I am attacking is his ignorance, and desire to remain stuck in that position. Quite frankly, I have had to endure this constant, and ceaseless trumpeting of abject ignorance that has finally gotten to me.

And I am not alone here. The only other regular moderator, Ben, has thrown up his hands and checked out of here, out of frustration. And our little Collectivist adolescent is one of the major reasons why.

OMG.........The people who would have died would have been MEN who went to WAR and were SOLDIERS...instead we killed THOUSANDS of babies, women and children. Thats unacceptable. Maybe a few collateral people would have been killed, but it wouldn't have been nearly like what we did.....that was sick.

then thats him. I never told him to leave. His immaturity made him leave. I see no reason to dwell on it any longer. All I said was my opinion and you attack me for once again being "immature"...give me a break.

Men are people; Soldiers are people too and many of them didn't volunteer to be in the Army. What is better about killing men than anybody else?
Besides, at that time, kiling civilians was relatively "normal". They were considered "the enemy" too. Ever heard of The Blitz or Dresden?
Did you ever hear of the Rape of Nanking you retard?
This is what the Japanese were up to: http://www.bergen.org/AAST/Projects/ChinaHistory/rape.html

I get a charge out of the Lebanese "Americans" who are sueing the US government for not getting them out sooner, as if the US government is a travel agency.

Prefect example??? Abusing their abilities??? How many Americans were lost island hopping? Multiply that by the x factor.
No, I think the above comment is a perfect example of a comment by a "person of the world" persuasion who like Carter could never make a difficult decision. A "person of the world" is a new citizenship, a citizen of nowhere.

I just noticed this reply to John L. Here is another "citizen of the world". Here is another one with alot of questions but no answers.

The people who would have died would have been conscripts. People like YOU. But of course we aren't talking about YOU. You would never have found yourself in WWII. Perhaps you might have found refuge in Mexico, or SA. Maybe Africa.
The "OMG" usage is quite telling of a person of the high ground. At least one who thinks that is what they occupy.

Who ever it was that left was probably alot more mature than this Haupt fellow. He was probably just disgusted.
