Hello guys,

U.S. justice used to be blind and justices of the Supreme Court used to be good lawyers. However if you look at the verdict in Mapp v. Ohio there is nothing that can persuade you that you are living in a normal and safe country. This verdict suppressed all evidence in criminal trials in state courts, which was obtained without a search warrant. The result of this verdict is that murderers and killers escape justice, are let free and live among us instead of in prisons, just because some policemen did not obtain a valid search warrant before collecting evidence. How ridiculous this law is can be seen in Collidge v. New Hampshire – a guy who killed 14 years old was set free because the evidence against him could not be presented in the court. Everybody is telling that the U.S. is a great country, is it really? It doesn’t seem so.

Better 1,000 guilty go free then 1 innocent man be imprisioned.
DId you know that it is impossible for the USA to join the ICC for that very same reason. Innocent until proven guilty. So mutt gets loose on a technicality and he'll commit another crime. We will get him then.
What about that nutter who stabbed Monica in the back? 6 months in jail? In America, they would stilll be looking for the key. At least we have the balls to kill the crooks once it is proven, BEYOND A REASONABLE DOUBT that they are guily. Better then the Euro-wenies, who fake evidence to get a conviction, then don't even punish the perp.
Meanwhile, how are the riots going? Burn your car yet?

I have No Idea what planet you have been living on but for sure it is one unfamilar with Heabus Corpus and Maranda rights least we forget the Consitution and bill of rights as to protection against illegal search and seizure...

They are suppose to be trained professionals, this is police 101 kindagarden procedures, evidence has for centuries been thrown out when obtained without cause or proper search warrants...

P.S. THIS IS GOOD, NOT BAD.

Got cause, get a warrant, otherwise do not be so unprofessional as to obtain evidence that is been known to be illegally obtained...

We are now going through a great national debate about even giving non-citizens and illegal combatants these rights. Though presumedly addressed last week, That debate is far from over and will, I supect, linger for many years to come in the courts.

Though to some degree or another different, these essential rights are granted to most Europeans so I dumbfounded that person with the screen name European would be suprised at this...
