Eagles Soar to Support Our Troops, and Outnumber Anti-War Forces 3-to-1

On Saturday, the National Park Service estimates that the Gathering of Eagles turned out 30,000 patriotic protesters to support our troops and to combat an anti-war rally going on at the same time with Cindy Sheehan.

Hotair's Bryan and Michelle Malkin filed this report from the anti-protest protest, along with a Gathering of Eagles photo essay.

http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2007/03/...is-bullsht.html Gateway Pundit captured this CSPAN video of potty-mouth Sheehan encouraging hippie protesters to stop paying their taxes for this "bulls***" war:<br />

The Fastest Squirrel, a Special Forces veteran with over four years of combat experience, describes his day and what it was like to bring his son to the protest.

http://cajuntiger.blogspot.com/2007/03/whe...">Cajun Tigers' Shane Comeaux took pictures of both protest events, but only found the American flag proudly flying with the Gathering of Eagles.

http://michellemalkin.com/archives/007109.htm Michelle Malkin, who caught the liberal New York Times dramatically underestimating the number of GoE protestors opines, "Yup, the journalistic standard-bearers of the NYTimes relied on 'several veterans of the antiwar movement' to give them crowd estimates of the Gathering of Eagles. It's the domestic equivalent of MSMers relying on dubious Iraqi stringers to provide them with war coverage while they sit in their comfy Green Zone offices in D.C. and Manhattan.

http://newsbusters.org/node/11491 Newsbusters' Tim Graham rips the Washington Post for its biased reporting on these two stories, which included lying about the number of patriotic protesters and for not pointing out the fact that the anti-war protest was organized by a communist group.

Conservative Propaganda's Tantor has some great pictures of what happened to a woman a a "Viva the Reagan Revolution" tshirt jumped in the middle of a circle of socialists, waving an American flag.

http://cinnamonstillwell.blogspot.com/2007...triots-hit.html Cinnamon Stillwell opines:

"Despite mainstream media efforts to downplay attendance or ignore the event altogether, blogosphere reports count 30,000 GOE participants vs. 5,000-10,000 antiwar protesters. This may mark the beginning of the end of mainstream America's complacency in the face of a vastly outnumbered but vocal (and overreported) antiwar movement whose platform spells disaster for the United States and Iraq. Never again will America's brave warriors and their cause be abandoned and the people our country has pledged to liberate be left to perish at the hands of tyrants. Those days are most definitely over.

QUOTE
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the Liberals can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the Liberals to use all of their powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the Liberals.”

Funny how changing the subject of the quote gives the quote even more relevence. The Left are ever eager to accuse the right of what they are guilty of themselves.....

It's called projection, Nomad. And, you'd be surprised to notice how often that psychlogical thing happens and has been happening since Bush won the election(s).

It's humorous to observe once you know what the mechanism is.

laugh.gif ph34r.gif popcorn.gif Indeed, poorly used Projection as in one using as a defense mechanism, operating unconsciously, as to that which in others they find unacceptable thus they unconsciously emotionally rejected and attribute ( project) that which is unacceptable intolerantly onto others.

Similar there is, in addition, the use of Anaphor resolution, where meaning is or can be either implicitly clear or ambiguous as to finding out what the anaphor is referring to. Often used and required when issues are taken out of context to either clarify or muddle the issue at hand.

Our not so cleaver moon bat also poorly uses a deviant form of Reverse Psychology, whereby it describes opposition outcomes as if in advocacy of the opposite, using Muddled Anaphor resolution to bait one course of action in an effort to avoid persuading with facts and argument the opposite, that of its opposite contextual point of unproven advocacy.

Actually Solo it has been a liberal staple long before even Bush got elected. I should have known there would be a clinical psyc term for this behaivior. On further thought this is an emotional mechanism that allows those afflicted with this disorder to deny their affliction by way of projecting their mental disorder to others. This allows them a short term ego boost and a temporary reprieve from their otherwise meaningless lives.
