"The administration can do nothing now that would salvage American interests in Iraq. Too many irredeemable and inexplicable blunders were made far too early."

Irredeemable, yes. Inexplicable, no. The explanation is in the vast crookedness and ineptitude of the fraudulent and deceitful Bushies, their lies and their costly war for profit that became a brutal occupation and a civil war in Iraq totally counterproductive to the security of Americans.

A REAL SOLDIERS COMMENTS;

A Soldier’s Letter to Senator Reid

I received the following letter in an email from Gathering of Eagles, of which I am a member. This letter so clearly says everything I have been trying to say with regard to Senator Reid, the Democratic Congress, and those traitorous Republicans who publicly say the war is lost and refuse to support the President’s efforts. The soldier who wrote the letter says it all so very well I simply had to post it! Please read his letter.

Senator Reid:

When you say we’ve lost in Iraq, I don’t think you understand the effect of your words. The Iraqis I speak with are the good guys here, fighting to build a stable government. They hear what you say, but they don’t understand it. They don’t know about the political game, they don’t know about a Presidential veto, and they don’t know about party politics.

But they do know that if they help us, they are noticed by terrorists and extremists. They decide to help us if they think we can protect them from those terrorists. They tell us where caches of weapons are hidden. They call and report small groups of men who are strangers to the neighborhood, men that look the same to us, but are obvious to them as a foreign suicide cell.

To be brief, your words are killing us. Your statements make the Iraqis afraid to help us for fear we’ll leave them unprotected in the future. They don’t report a cache, and its weapons blow up my friends in a convoy. They don’t report a foreign fighter, and that fighter sends a mortar onto my base. Your statements are noticed, and they have an effect.

Finally, you are mistaken when you say we are losing. We are winning, I see it every day. However, we will win with fewer casualties if you help us. Will you?

Respectfully,

LT Jason Nichols, USN
MNF-I, Baghdad

DD, you were right, that is quite a letter. Not only is it clear, but heart-wrenching to read. This LT. should NEVER have to feel this way but Reid’s words cut below the belt. If I had it my way, every American would write to Congress demanding the resignation of Reid and we would get it, NOW!! He’s a foolish traitor!!

That is a great letter! Michele Malkin has several letters from her military readers posted on her blog.
I’m with you Pamela! I’m thinking of printing out all the letters like Lt Nichols and sending them to every member of the House and Senate and also the President. it would be worth the postage.
Just can’t stay quiet at all!

Senator Reid, in my opinion is a traitor to his country. In my opinion, he is misinformed at best or turning his back on our country in exchange for temporary personal gain. I hope he goes the way that Dashel went. Voted out: the American way.

Hi Trader
Did you notice that the soldier signed his own true name and rank? Right there he blew our local snotwads right out of their toilet bowls.

R2Ddum just reminded us once again about the difference between real men and snotwads.

snot: definition: the stuff one blows from one's nose on a kleenex before discarding in appropriate receptacle laugh.gif

God bless our troops trying to help a people have a decent life!
