I do respect those who do these anti-war marches. They are expressing their idealism and their best hopes for this country. They are not losers and, God help us, they are not part of a lost cause. The real losers are those who willingly swallowed the crud the administration fed them to rationalize this war, and who continue to this day to say the crud tasted like fudge.
I too respect the right of descent, 3 in my grandfather generation, 5 in my dad's generation, 8 in my generation and now 11 in our sons generation, have laid it on the line for that right, we get it!!!
We get it far more than most of the last two generations who have no idea even if they owe America anything. They shallow draft life to busy taking from our mother country in self indulgence to consider that our nurturing mother gives them their breath of life, the core of their sustenance, and the privilege of their existence as well as meaning, in what and all, they are, and or what their off spring will be and do.
Hope is not an ideal, nor a strategy nor even a verb of action, it is merely a desire, an expectation of something yet to exist that may or may not materialize or come to fruition. It is merely a non-existences based on inaction and mere thought, sitting idly by, awaiting the forces of action to do as they will to those relying on the non-existing. Hope dwells in the shallow drafts of idealism sustained merely by nothing but what might be, could be, or should be.
Idealists are dreamers and dreamers can be, but are not necessarily proven visionary. Dreams don't stop death, or evil, nor bad people, or bad things, from happening. True Idealist are visionary pragmatist who see where they want to be while taking affective actions of meaningful purpose based on where they are now to get there. While intelligently grasping, that adaptability is man's best idealistic virtue and affective tool of accomplishment.

A man who thinks he is right, is seldom wrong, while a man who thinks he is wrong, is equally seldom wrong, but a man who knows he can be as right as wrong even at the same time, is always right. -Trader
What if we win in Iraq and Afghanistan and radical Islam is taken from the threat threshold. What does this say about Iraq, us and you, who are so invested in losing. Pretending it is about the Iraqi's, like Fonda’s moonbat's pretended it was about the Vietnamese's, those forgotten by them, in an NY instant, while 3 million more died, unnoticed and unattended to, to prove a false righteousness about idealism and war as if an affective tool against human violence. Noting it has not stopped one war since, nor any of the dozens since, nor prevented any of the millions who have died in wars, since.
The true peacemakers, in our real world afar from this idealism, are those who actually do something to stop violence. As history and today news has proven time, and time, again, violence is stopped exclusively to date by those who are willing to use violence to stop violence. Where idealism, words, hope, and ideals never do nor never have stopped it, ever!
That is all!!
