Well it's going to be soon....probably today (It's officially Monday where I am). It's almost assured we will get an individual ruling on the 2nd and the D.C. Handgun Ban will be struck down. I imagine all future gun bans will finally be found unreasonable. Which means: Even though the 68 Import Ban & the 86 Machine Gun Ban will still need to be fought in future battles....the days of "assualt weapon bans" are pretty much over with. It's going to be a good day today. And if it isn't today, then it will be next Monday.

Now some of you may be really strict anti-gun people that feel nobody but police & military should have guns. You can't be reasoned with, and can only be beat down by the pro-gun people in both parties. And yes, there are many pro-gun Democrats. Congress filled the Republican seats it took in 2006 with pro-gun Dems. They know what happend in 1994, so they won't touch another ban with a ten-foot-pole. So you might as well face the fact that you are about to lose a major battle in the war on self-defense.

And don't come at me with your statistics or reasoning about disarming the law-abiding. Yes, people die from guns. Yes, some people are irresponsible with their guns, and kids or criminals end up getting a hold of them. But that's the price of having a 2nd Amendment and the right to self-defense...some people are going to die. It's collateral damage and it's a price worth paying for the greater good. You don't strip the rights of the law-abiding away because of negligent people or criminals. You don't dictate how the law-abiding should live based on negligent people or criminals, you dictate how negligent people or criminals behave based on the laws.

Anyway, it's going to be a good day.

Agree with you, man.

They decided to draw it out a little longer, but they have said it will be issued tomorrow....Thursday. You hear that gun-grabbers? Tomorrow is your judgement day.
ManBearPig
The SCOTUS just overturned the ban; the 2nd Amendment is now OFFICIALLY AN INDIVIDUAL RIGHT. Suck it gun-grabbers. Suck hard.
