The FBI simply interviewed them before they left. They didnt have anything to do with their travel plans. That was Richard Clarke. And they were investigated in that since the embassy bombings, the entire family had been investigated, looking for current financial connections with Osama. The family has 600 members, many of them heavily involved in foreign investments here in the US and elsewhere. The few that were known to be involved with Al Qaeda are not the ones who ever spent any time in the US.

if, clarke was just the one who arranged flights, then it means, he did not have authority to okay the flights. so, who okayed clarke to okay the flights???
