Full Version: John Bolton says Israel will strike Iran
Political Topics And Discussion > All Things Political > Political News
LooseCannon
Just watching Hannity and Colmes. Bolton says it is going to happen, either before the elections and definitely before the new President is sworn in. Israel striking Syria is small potatoes, Iran is not in the same league. What will the price of oil be? How will Opec react? How will the American Electorate react? Does it help McCain or hurt the GOP?
I am personally shocked that the Bush White House will green light this.
Every Muslim male will be practising making bombs, from Indonesia to Nigeria to London and Munich. It is bad enough that the US invaded Iraq, but to allow Israel to start a war with Iran is so fool hardy and short sighted it is mind boggling. And of course the UN will again be seen as a puppet of the US for not raising an alarm or a finger to stop Israel from taking things into her own hands. Cowboy Diplomacy, jewish style.
MrLeft
I think the US needs to back Iran if such a thing happens...

Wow...So when Iran says they will wipe Israel off the face of the planet, and Israel goes in to protect themselves, we must defend the people who are threatening them? You are unbelievable. Israel is trying to protect itself every day from being destroyed. Now, YOU want to side with the people who want to destroy them for no reason whatsoever?

Iran has neither the means nor the will to "wipe Israel off the map". If you cannot see that those words, usually spoken by Ahmadinejad, are rhetoric meant for domestic consumption, then I think you are a poor analyst of international affairs. If Iran even lifted a finger in an effort to destroy Israel, they would be obliterated under dozens of mushroom clouds. You know this, don't you?

Ahmadinejad cannot fix Iran's economy or the myriad social problems that keep Iran from prospering. This is why he spouts the rhetoric he does - because it gets the sheep behind him. But make no mistake - it's not working as well as it once did.

But if we decide to strike Iran or to help Israel strike Iran - the Iranians will rally around the regime, and they will try as hard as they can to make nuclear warheads, and they will shower missiles on Israel. Then the dung will hit the fan and the region will turn into a "fireball", as our friend Mr. El-Baredei said. It's a lose/lose situation, and if Israel strikes - we must distance ourselves as far as we can from that train-wreck, short of "backing Iran".

I think any other course of action in the event of an Israeli strike is foolish and irrational.

Of course, Muslims will never sacrifice themselves or other Muslims to achieve their ultimate goal. You are a deluded fool MR. AND an enabler to these sub human scum. If Isreal strikes Iran it will set their nuke aspirations back 10 years. We sold them the bunker busters needed to to do the job. Isreal will also take out their one and only refinery as well. Been hearing talk for the last 30 years about "moderates" in the wings. THAT AIN'T GONNA FKN HAPPEN. 30 YEARS??????????
Iran needs to die. It will be an example of what happens when Muslims try to pull the same sh!t they did that brought on the crusades.

The world is laughing at us. The mistake war in Iraq only served to make Iran much stronger and us much weaker. The world, especially the US, is a much more dangerous place thanks to bush.

I am waiting for Nomad to bring up stats that 70% of Americans favour an Israeli air strike on Iran. And for the US to back them up if Iran decides to retaliate. The only way it can happen is for Americans NOT TO KNOW about it, and that says everything, Nomad, everything. You can't even sell this war if you could, and that's why you can't stand it. Perle, Wolfowitz, Rumsfeld and the friends of AIPAC are long gone, and you only have 6 months to go out with a bang.

As for the crusades, there's a church in San Antonio that agrees with you, why don't you give up your regular job and work for Hagee if you believe in it that much. Peasant. dry.gif

In my fantasy world if Israel attacks Iran the price of oil per barrel will double, at least. Maybe you can afford it, but can the rest of the States and the rest of the world? Is Iran an "imminent Threat" to Israel? Is the price of oil helping the USA right now? Will war against Iran lower the price of oil? Answer that, and tell me why Israel needs to go to war, while GWB is still in office.

And when London, Paris and Russia have to read from the Koran, despite all of them having Nuclear Weapons, I'll let you know, and I'll tell you then that you were spot on accurate.

So you are saying that Iran is now holding the western world hostage......Using oil as the gun??? Is Iran an "imminent Threat" to Israel? Today no, very soon yes Is the price of oil helping the USA right now? Of course not, but you have only the Democrats to blame for this energy crunch. Will war against Iran lower the price of oil? Will a nuclear war in the mideast lower the price of oil? If Iran acquiers the bomb that is what you will have. Answer that, and tell me why Israel needs to go to war, while GWB is still in office. Because if Osama gets elected he will follow your policy of appeasement. Appeasers always lose, history has shown that.

I would not believe everything I hear on TV (if I watched it). I would not trust John Bolton's opinion. I would, however, not be entirely surprised for the neocons who have been leading Bush to strike a final blow, especially if McCain loses the election.

And I agree with the post above which states that the president of Iran's rhetoric is mostly for domestic politics, and that Iran itself is not foolish enough to ignite such a war. There is no red nuclear button in Iran because Iran has no nuclear weapons yet. Israel does, however, and Israel might be foolish enough to do it.
LooseCannon
Pakistan has the bomb and they haven't done shi* and if they did, they would be wiped out 50 times over, so your scare tactics about Muslims having the bomb does not make any sense, when Israel has 150 and god knows how many Western Europe and Russia have.
chuckd
Israel will attack Iran when and if they feel their national security is at risk. They will perform this attack regardless who might be the sitting President. It is their feeling, rightfully so, that the President of the US does not run their foreign policy.

They will always listen to what the US President thinks about any given situation but, in the end, will act based on their own self interests, as they should.

There are two flash points that might dictate an attack on Iran by Israel. One is when Iran's Narantz uranium processing facility is at the threshold of producing enough material to construct a weapon. The second is if Iran begins securing Russia's SA-20 air defense system, thus making an air attack much more difficult. Either one of these events could lead to an attack on the nuclear production facilities.

The real threat to the US and Europe comes from an Iranian nuclear weapon brought into one of the larger cities by terrorists and being detonated. Iran has very limited delivery capability and cannot at this time reach the US with a missile. They do have the capability to deliver as far as Israel. As a result, they are seen as more of a threat by the Israelis, thus the Israeli's intentions are more immediate.

It would seem to me our European friends should be much more concerned about the threat of a nuclear Iran than the US due to their proximity to Iran. Unfortunately many of our European friends have the defensive philosophy of the ostrich. Bury your head in the sand and the threat will evaporate.

All this nonsense written about Bush and neo-cons is fluff.

Sigh.......... First off, thanks Trader for covering my flank. However as is apparent now anything beyond a mental 1+1 will not register with this mental midget. Let's notice that MrLeft did nothing but launch into an emotional attack on me and my parents. This is typical of liberals that know they can not logically prove their positions.

Now let take a closer look at MrLeft
MrLeft still lives with mommy and daddy in a bungalo in Sylmar Ca. A squalid hell hole to be sure. MrLeft is still trying to come to grips that HIS parents are failures. His daddy is a machinist named Dexter. ( And how anyone named Dexter could find the right hole to create offspring is amazing )
But I guess ML could be lying about his daddys name. However Sylmar is a workers town so regardless of the name ML's parents are lower class working stiffs. Couldn't find out what his mother does but would not surprise me she wouldn't be walking to San Fernando and servicing sweaty landscapers at 20 bucks a head. ML is a little bitter child that will never grow up. This Youngun has left his delusional mark all over the web...............

So you consider machinists failures? Machinists were very important in manufacturing the vehicles, artillery and various weapons during WW2 or did your bigot mind can't see that?

The metal component parts you are using (heatsinks, regulators, spacers, washers, etc.) to type on your computer were done by machinists. Did you know that?

You put down skilled workers yet you are too stupid to know that Air Force do not accept color blind fools like yourself. So you excuse yourself from the military because you wanted to fly jets and nothing else. Are you too lazy or scared to join the grunt foot soldiers? I believe they accept color blind people.. And just where did I denegrate ALL machinists? I slammed ML's daddy because he is a working stiff. A stiff that spent his life as a malcontent employee always complaining about how hard he was being worked. An employee that cared not for the employer paying his wages but only for his selfish self. This attitude is not conducive to leading an upwardly mobile lifestyle. And how do I deduce this????? Were ML's daddy not such a failure his son would not be such a failure. Come to think of it, the use of Alec Baldwin(gag!) as an avatar also shows the youth in ML's choice. Who would want a foulmouthed, angry, moody, aging star to identify with other than someone very young, with not too much experience. Why would someone look up to that guy?

Another misleading link you provided. Heatskinks are extruded aluminum. Heatsinks do not come from molds. Heatsinks are extruded from a mold.laugh.gif

QUOTE

Voltage regulator - A small device or circuit that regulates the voltage fed to the microprocessor. The power supply of most PCs generates power at 5 volts but most microprocessors require a voltage below 3.5 volts. The voltage regulator's job is to reduce the 5 volt signal to the lower voltage required by the microprocessor. Typically, voltage regulators are surrounded by heat sinks because they generate significant heat.

I give old timers like SoloNav and USTrader credit for keeping up the effort to post sanely, but it is a lost cause.

But I am afraid, well, maybe not afraid, but afraid, I will be actually found out, as not being afraid. but dooming it, as though I am. ohmy.gif blink.gif laugh.gif I am a "mod-u-lator" at Thaivisa you know, I know these things. Come on, FITS, when are you going to give up playing the victim...

Leave it to Jess Jackson and Reverend Wright, or Air Amercia's new home, MSNBC, they are the professionals at that game, you know. You know full well that Photo was your own photo, posted by you, at THAIVISA.

Also, are you not being very disenginuous, when you say, I post "sanely" here. ohmy.gif laugh.gif

But I do appreciate, the over hyped complaint and Doom, about nothing, it is a true character of the cup half empty.

That is all!!

Pardon me, ustrader, if I give you too much credit for calling you sane. I did not realize until now that you had such an infantile, vicious, nasty streak. Off your meds perhaps?

FITS I am SO hurt... popcorn.gif

MYTH!

You should know, FITS, my myth inspired fearful, fear monger, to see a face in the mirror crying out NO! It is not me that subsist this way. The mind of a transient, that hybrid of humanity, is but a true manifestation into the mirror of their trepid mind and existence.

You see a person in the mirror that no one sees but you. Others see the transient hybrid but not that person, no one sees, but you. But, you're not that person either. You are the other one, that one where time tolls in comings of self disgust, for a life lived, teetering on the cusp.

The glass house inhabit of transient escapism should never cast the first stone, as it must crash through the glass walls of their existences or lack thereof first and foremost. smile.gif

FITS you know the guy who throws the first punch is never assured of attaining his motive for doing so. Truth be told, often in the end, the opposite is the outcome to their dissatisfaction. Then again, perhaps you do not know that. Consider this Traders advice, as I am always here to help, you know. smile.gif

Iran is developing nuclear bombs in order to use them dummy. Is stupidity your middle name?
