Most Americans are still deluded enough to think we are the best in the world at everything. They have obviously been brainwashed and it is hurting us, accelerating our rapid decline into a failed former empire.

We need to copy other countries that have done things better.

For example, Brazil for energy policy, France for health care policy, Switzerland for immigration policy, Singapore for education policy, and Thailand for go go bar policy. The world is laughing at us. The time to take action to save our country is running out. Wake up or find ourselves in a hole we can never climb out of.

Oy vey, another brainwashed American. Not everyone in the world wants to move to or even visit America. More do want to visit because of the worthless dollar, so they can buy our goods and prostitutes cheap.

There are countries all over the world which are immigration draws as alluring as America such as: Australia, Canada, Singapore, France, UK, Germany.

TQ, First, I will give you a chance to rethink you absurd allegation made in the broadest of all conditions in anything catch all generalities, to fostered in your obsession and absurdity that America is bad, American-phobia.

No one remotely said, EVERYONE, but you.
There are two types of deceiver, those that know they are, and, those who do not. The former is to be smashed at every opportunity the latter should be helped if possible.

This, TQ, is your usual amplification of the hyperbolic, that altered derivative within this Pattaya Beetch mentality of escapism, from something, not to something.

The problem with obstinacy is its blind willingness to spurt distortions, half-truths, and lies, to fits its purpose. You whine and moan how others despicably do this, whilst you do it all the time TQ.

TQ there is nothing worse than a distorting lying conservative I am sure agree, but equally there is nothing worst that dogmatic distorting lying Liberal either.
I can’t count the number of times I proven you not only dogmatically ill informed and often as a fool willfully laying down propaganda and dogma you know, before-hand, you cannot prove nor defend, that is why you sit empty mouth all the time when challenged.

So once again It smashing pumpkins time.

New immigration law reflects Europe’s fears of unknown

* European arguments similar to ones voiced by US, Canada and Australia

LAHORE: The European Parliament’s decision to pass a new law allowing member countries to imprison undocumented aliens for up to 18 months and deport children has renewed the debate over immigration in the region.

The European Commission estimates there are up to 8 million illegal immigrants in the 27-nation European Union. More than 200,000 were arrested in the EU in the first half of 2007 with just under 90,000 expelled.

If you knew anything about the topics you speak about, which you rarely ever do, excepting the Homosexual Putsch movement, you would know that under law we reach our legal immigration limits every year. In fact we have for the last 65 years. We reject 3, sometimes, 4 times what we legally can allow in every year.

We have by law per country limits, and many category limits that if tripled would be met every year.

The countries you mentioned have much smaller populations than the US, so you have basically presented bent up statistics.

This is off topic anyway. There will always be desperate and greedy people wanted to move to the US. The issue is that we are too proud to realize that we can learn alot from other countries. If we had noticed what Brazil was doing 30 years ago, and done the same thing, we would not be in a world of economic pain today. Wake up, America, if it is not too late!

ADDITION, TRY IT!

You brought it up TQ, not anyone else. It was the TQ of the uninformed who brought the issue up, with his usual fanny fair of false negativity, spewed in the usual tone of America, blame and shame it, often, this core ideology of your Indoctrinated Doom-ocracy.

So why is it off topic, perhaps because you do not know what you are talking about, but, as usual, talk about it anyway?

ph34r.gif SMELLING FEAR as TQ Shoots and Scoots, saying nothing, as if saying something!

There will always be desperate and greedy people wanted to move to the US.

Perhaps, though only to a miminal at best except for you to poorly point out this doom of desperation you want to make, which has been proven so wrong, so often, and so much.

Yet equally, there always unaccomplished ill-contributing "MASTA seeking" pathetic life defeats, wanting to move away from the US.
THANK GOD!

The issue is that we are too proud to realize that we can learn alot from other countries.

How pathetic TQ, parsed, in your usual self-negativity, Like, we have not, and or, are NOT learning from others from around the world, being the most diverse country in the world for a century or so.

Likewise, with the exception of some the doomers here, Diversity and all it has to offer, has been, and is, principally a significant contributor to what Amerca has become, is, and will continue to be, no matter how indoctrinated doomers try spin it otherwise.

If we had noticed what Brazil was doing 30 years ago, and done the same thing, we would not be in a world of economic pain today. Wake up, America, if it is not too late!

Again, the TQ DOOM, showing us a capacity to confirm how little it knows, while poorly parsing its point of view. Amazing!

Take a real “GOOD LOOK” at Brazil for the last 30 years and you will find vastly more negative about what we could learn from them, than we can or have learned that is positive.

Todd Benson

SÃO PAULO, Brazil, June 23 - A few years ago, the armored car business was one of Brazil's fastest-growing industries. As urban crime and kidnappings soared, armored car dealers sprouted up by the dozens, and sales jumped almost sevenfold in five years.

But while violent crime continues to plague Brazil's biggest cities, armored car sales have been declining for two years - partly because of a harsh economic slump and partly because most wealthy Brazilians who felt the need for bulletproof cars already own one.

With the third military government (1969–74), led by general Emilio Garrastazu Médici.

Brazil suffered drastic reductions in its terms of trade as a result of the 1973 world oil shock. In the early 1970s, the performance of the export sector was undermined by an overvalued currency. With the trade balance under pressure, the oil shock led to a sharply higher import bill. Thus, the Geisel government borrowed billions of dollars to see Brazil through the oil crisis. This strategy was effective in promoting growth, but it also raised Brazil's import requirements markedly, increasing the already large current-account deficit. The current account was financed by running up the foreign debt. The expectation was that the combined effects of import-substitution industrialization and export expansion eventually would bring about growing trade surpluses, allowing the service and repayment of the foreign debt.

Political liberalization and the declining world economy contributed to Brazil's economic and social problems. In 1978 and 1980, huge strikes took place in the industrial ring around São Paulo. Protesters asserted that wage increases indexed to the inflation rate were far below an acceptable standard of living. Union leaders, including the future three-time presidential candidate and president Luís "Lula" Inácio da Silva, were arrested for violation of national security laws.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) imposed a painful austerity program on Brazil. Under that program, Brazil was required to hold down wages to fight inflation. In the North, Northeast, and even in relatively prosperous Rio Grande do Sul, rural people seized unused, private land, forcing the government to create a new land reform ministry. Tension with the Roman Catholic Church, the major voice for societal change, peaked in the early 1980s with the expulsion of foreign priests involved in political and land reform issues.

To attack the soaring debt, Figueiredo's administration stressed exports — food, natural resources, automobiles, arms, clothing, shoes, even electricity — and expanded petroleum exploration by foreign companies. In foreign relations, the objective was to establish ties with any country that would contribute to

Brazilian economic development. Washington was kept at a certain distance, and the North-South dialogue was emphasized.
In 1983 the economy floundered as GDP declined by 5.0%, the impact of which was accelerated by rising inflation and the failure of political leadership

1999 January Brazilian currency crisis, when the Real suffered a maxi-devaluation, and fluctuated wildly. "Plan Real," was to implement structural adjustments and economic reforms designed to satisfy the conditions set by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for a $41.5 billion loan.
The stock market has nose-dived 23 percent in the last five trading days.

Economic is not linear TQ it is cyclic but how would you know that. BRAZIL is a vastly, like the Middle east, a PETRO-ECONOMY, if something happens to SUPPLY OR demand flow capacity, it and they, and the most dependent on them, die, fast and hard.

Now I know you’r going to come back with the usual DOOM talking points about US OIL use, and dependency. But truth is, of all the industrialized countries, we, as the world’s 3rd largest producer, in a severe crisis, can economize to self-sustaining levels though, not painless levels quickly, via prioritized rationing using our 90 days SPR to get organized. Mean while moving reasonably quick towards introducing our vast coal and shale as an alternative in self interest motivation to concentrate the effort in crisis mode.

The US, though not without narcassitic sacrific and readjustment pain, is the best positioned of all oil dependent nations, to survive and eventually recover the quickest from a severe disruption of petro economy supplies.

Europe and the rest have no such luxury, thus that is why they cow tow to the Middle East more. But, the Petro Economies, though most think they are strong in being such. In fact, in a disruptive flow scenario, they are actually the weakest and by far most venerable, in quick order, for being so dependent on Petro-sole-economies.

IndoctrinatedTQ, your Obama Putsch talking point of illogic for “a needed internationalism,” we have long, and already, possess, parsed somehow in a doom logic, as we are in more need of speaking Spanish, than Spanish outsiders, are in need of speaking English? Cuts to the level of how out of touch the indoctrinated Dooms are with main street America and it real needs.

America is the epitome of internationalism, and is and has been, the engine of globalization. We are changing, and the world is changing, but not mutually exclusive, as you, Doomer’s feeble.

THAT IS ALL!!

Doom ocracy forever pinsive.

Brazil sees rise in bulletproof cars
By Gary Duffy
BBC News, Sao Paulo

Aluizio Coelho recalls in vivid detail the incident which persuaded him to buy a bulletproof car.
He was driving with his wife into the centre of Sao Paulo when a motorbike pulled up alongside his vehicle

Two guys were on the motorbike, and the guy behind had a gun. He asked for everything we had, and of course we said to him we will give you everything.
"But the problem was that the guy had such a nervous attitude, and it looked like he was using drugs. The risk of the situation was not only if we wanted to give away whatever we had, but if the guy was sure in his mind that he didn't need to shoot us.

"That was really what brought me to have a bulletproof car."

Aluizio, a former Formula 1 driver who now drives stock cars, bought his bulletproof vehicle second hand, and says it has brought peace of mind for him and his family.

"You have of course to keep in mind not to go where you shouldn't be going, but in a normal situation you are always feeling safer. It brings you comfort."

Growing market

A few miles outside Sao Paulo, at a factory producing bulletproof windows, you have to wear headphones to block out the deafening sound of gunshots.
Day after day, in carefully controlled tests, bullets are fired at the glass produced here to ensure that it is up to the required standard.

The impact is enormous, but in the tests we watched, the glass, just over 2cm thick, does its job. There are large and distinctive marks, but the bullets are stopped.

The tests are meant to reassure prospective buyers worried about the more sinister threats on the streets outside, such as kidnappings or armed robbery.
There are now estimated to be more than 50,000 bulletproof cars - blindados - on Brazilian roads. The business has been growing, almost without interruption, over the last decade, with an increase of around 20% per year.

Traders say a market that was once the exclusive preserve of Brazil's elite is opening up to wealthier sections of the middle class, due to easier credit arrangements and a growing second-hand market.

Urban violence

In the last six months of 2007 it is estimated that 7,500 bulletproof cars were sold in Brazil, according to research carried out by the Brazilian Association of Bulletproofing (Abrablin).

Christian Conde Antonio, the association's president, says the growth in the trade is largely because of the fear of violence and robbery in Brazil.

"There is a continuing sense of insecurity, this urban violence in big cities. So once you are using a bulletproof car, you are much safer stopping at driving lights, driving at night," he said.
