No incumbent president has ever been reelected with approval levels this low this soon before the election. If you are betting money on this election, don't be a fool. It is still Kerry's race to lose:

If that is what the statistics say, so be it.
But since there have only been 43 people called President and a little over 55 elections, the sample is so small that this story's subject is insignificant.

Here's what will determine the election if no majore international events occur between now and November:
1. The debates
2. IF Cheney decides to leave the post of VP (and the clout of his replacement)
3. The liberal support moving from a mindset of Hate to actually supporting an issue or two.
