Elizabeth is wrong. And if I came up to her, and called her a wop, or a pollak, or even used the words in her presence, she would
'get it' in a heartbeat.
She'd understand it then.
Jesse Jackson used the N word? I'm sure he's used the N word his entire life. There is absolutely nothing shocking about this.
What this really is is the anti Jesse people getting to take a shot or two at him and maybe ladle in some random anti black comments for good measure.
My people, me or my people, sitting wherever they're sitting, doing whatever they're doing, can't speak with each other the way they always have because Michael Richards or Elizabeth Hasselbeck shouldn't use the same words they're using?
Absurd.
If someone told me today that I couldn't use the word 'ch-nk' does anyone actually think I would cry about that? Or k-ke? Waay too much fuss about this...this should be easily understood, this should be a no brainer.
If I'm speaking to my longtime friends and family...White America has nothing to do with it. Sometimes caucasians have to understand that it isn't always about them.
