We could do worse. He is someone Hillary supporters can relate to and strong on foreign policy. I wish he was on top of the ticket though. Also, he will probably be too old in 8 years to be Pres. himself. Kind of a Cheney style pick. Good decision by Obama.

Disagree with you.

Obama is running on a campaign of new and change. He talks about denouncing Washington and appears to be uncorrupt because of his short time as a politician. Biden kinda ruins this image for him. It also throws off his clean slate. But then again, it helps with his inexperienced rep somewhat.

The bloom is off the rose, with regards to the Chosen One anyway. He is in deep trouble, and his handlers know this. I used to think that he would win the election, but it is no longer possible, short a miracle.

Biden is not going to help, and with the new VP choice by the Dufus, it will be a steep uphill climb for the Messiah.

Nope, he never was a messiah, he rode with it to the nomination, and now he is getting real. It is working. Look at the electoral polls.

Honestly --- he could HAVE DONE so much worse. Biden complements what he lacks.

I agree inexperienced unaware messiah complex, off set, by 36 years of inside Washington being the good old boy problem, not solution, that is not, yes we can change, instead, it is yes we can "appear" to change. Now that is the ticket for change and solutions in these troubled waters, appearance over substance!

If it is change it looks and sounds more like the lefty dance and rail of President Cheney and his puppy Bush, with the addition of the Messiah of DOOM complex, lead by DC doomsayer insiders and Udopian fanatics lead like sheep, soon to be disappointed, with more of same inside Washington do nothing-ness.

Obama-McCain; 4 more years of more of the same, insider cake, and outsider crumbs wrapped in the words of appearances and illusion.

"Choice: An inside DC pejorative expression of illusion shown through smoke and mirrors as an appearance of grandiose personas and ideals.

TQ: I hope that you don't mind me putting this in here, but this just came out and your thread seems to put it nicely.
Joe Biden's newly released tax returns appear to confirm what the Democratic VP candidate has long contended — he is among the poorest U.S. senators currently serving.

Now talking about integrity?! Come on! 008.gif 006.gif

Foot-In-Mouth Disease? I thought Obama already had that to some extent.

Furthermore, it is likely that the current choice may suddenly develop a case of...............something, if things don't improve soon. Remember, while most polls still show Obama slightly ahead, this does not bode well for the Chosen One. Why? Because most polls ALWAYS tend to favour Jackasses, AND use "registered" voters, instead of "Likely" voters, which is far more accurate.

If Obama is not up by at least 10% in these polls, he is likely in trouble. It's like this every presidential election cycle, where the reputation of a pollster is cemented just in the last poll before the election. Other than that, Pollsters can do what they please, and still come back looking somewhat even-handed. That is why the last poll is always so much different from the others.

Don't believe me? Then play close attention to them this time around and see. blink.gif
