What a great day for America!
We are on the verge of electing PRESIDENT OBAMA, in a probable LANDSLIDE. Yes, he is black.
And just today, on the 13th anniversary of the shameful miscarriage of justice that let OJ get away with murder, he is now convicted new crimes that will send him, now an older man, away for a very long time.
OJ, also black.
This is the way it should be in America. The best rising to the top. And the worst falling to the bottom. Regardless of race.

I see no differece between OJ and BO. One is a murderer and the other is a sympathiser of a murderer.

No difference, huh?

"Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Saturday slammed Sen. Barack Obama's political relationship with a former anti-war radical, accusing him of associating "with terrorists who targeted their own country." Palin's attack delivered on the McCain campaign's announcement that it would step up attacks on the Democratic presidential candidate with just a month left before the November general election.

"We see America as the greatest force for good in this world," Palin said at a fund-raising event in Colorado, adding, "Our opponent though, is someone who sees America, it seems, as being so imperfect that he's palling around with terrorists who would target their own country." . .

Palin cited an article in Saturday's New York Times about Obama's relationship with Ayers, now 63. But that article concluded that "the two men do not appear to have been close. Nor has Mr. Obama ever expressed sympathy for the radical views and actions of Mr. Ayers, whom he has called 'somebody who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8.' "

Several other publications, including the Washington Post, Time magazine, the Chicago Sun-Times, The New Yorker and The National Review, have debunked the idea that Obama and Ayers had a close relationship."

Obama campaign spokesman Hari Sevugan called Palin's comments "offensive" and "not surprising given the McCain campaign's statement this morning that they would be launching Swift Boat-like attacks in hopes of deflecting attention from the nation's economic ills."

With Obama rising in polls while the country struggles in the grip of a financial crisis, Sen. John McCain's presidential campaign decided to shift attention away from the troubled economy and onto issues of his opponent's character, judgment and personal associations, the Washington Post reported."

Thanks for that CNN link, Griz! It just proves Obama's alliance and ties with the domestic terrorist.

Obama and Ayers attended a meeting for a school reform project in 1995 and met again later that year when Ayers held a campaign event for Obama when then-Illinois state Sen. Alice Palmer, who planned to run for Congress, introduced the young community organizer as her chosen successor, campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt said.

Both men also served on a charitable board together, he said.

WOW! Imagine that. TWO TIMES, Ken. If Ayers was a woman, that wouldn't leave enough time for them to get together and have a substantial affair, now would it?

But do you want to know what, Ken? If your Grand Ole Party rolleyes.gif wants to use this than go right ahead -- I hope that they continue with this, I really do! 019.gif

But the key to this thing is in this economical fiasco that we're all in right now --I mean we are under a brand new set of circumstances at the present, unlike the circumstances back in 2004 of lets-go-bash-John-Kerry-with-war-records-and-religious-right-thing. The people want to know, from the candidates, just what in the hell each one is going to do to get us out of this thing. Meat and potato, my friend. Meat and potato!

And Barack is a young Kennedy-like individual with a lot of bright unorthodox, not-lets-play-the-usual games-in-Washington-sort-of-guy. And what can I say? People are listening to him.

Yes. I'm afraid that when it comes to fixing this country up from GOP disasters, so that people can go back to living like human beings -- before GOP and Dubya control had an effect -- it takes a Democrat to get us all back to meat and potatoes.

All we have to fear is fear itself ~ Franklin D. Roosevelt

But you want to know something else?

You guys keep on avoiding the issues and use that fear factor -- it looks good on you; honestly, it does! popcorn.gif 010.gif

"A Democratic spokesman accused the Republicans of gutter politics.

"What's clear is that John McCain and Sarah Palin would rather spend their time tearing down Barack Obama than laying out a plan to build up our economy," Hari Sevugan said.

Commentators say Mrs Palin's attack forms part of a broader Republican strategy to attack Mr Obama's character.";

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/7653132.stm

"Republicans are known for running negative and dirty campaigns, what we are seeing is nothong new with the exception that McCain is now on the ropes and is totally desparate. McCain's poor choice of Palin is to get sympathies of religious extremists. On issues McCain can not stand on his own therefore negative comapaign must distract voters from the real issues. Right wing extremists are as dangerous as any extremists in the world. Bush governed by creating fear & taking away civil liberties.

Abdullah Jafari"

"When one lacks intelligence to discuss the real issues, one would generally get mad, abusive, starts blaming the oponent of irrelevant charges. This is where we see McCain's campaign heading. McCain is trying hard to distance himself from Bush who he supported almost on all issues & has now chosen a running mate with poor credentials. McCain is left with no choice but to come out with dirty tricks, say things about Obama though not true but make him look unpatriotic and bad. Right Wing tactics.

Cheney Chootar, Washington, United States"

So the liberals attacking Palin's daughter is not avoiding the issue? Liberals are attacking McCain and Palin on every little thing, from McCains war injuries, to Palin's children. Yet, when we attack the person that is running for president, for being friends with a terrorist we are all of a sudden "avoiding the issues".

<snicker> Avenger, it's not fair of you to point out the facts. The facts aren't the issue, obviosuly. Just arguing for argument's sake it would seem.

Anyhoo, back on topic, I'm glad that OJ finally has gotten some justice. It's been a loonnnng time in coming.

Ron Goldman came to my school, and spoke. It was very, very emotional. He talked about the trial, and his son. He lives in Arizona, and is doing whatever he can to make OJ's life hell. Remember when he sued over OJ's "If I did it" book. I believe that was the title anyways. He is a true american, and I for one am sure Mr. Goldman is going to bed tonight satisfied. He has been through so much, and finally OJ gets justice. All race aside, OJ was scum. He is going into jail as a tight end, and will leave as a wide receiver.
